Just had a go at this quiz on the BBC www.bbc.co.uk/guides/zg3hk7h

My body age is 10 years above my actual age!! Please tell me I'm not the only one grin

16 years younger made my day

Jalima Fri 05-Aug-16 20:49:50

Greyduster I agree, I have eaten fish three times this week so far and meat twice.

6 years younger, perhaps if I lose a stone or two I may end up as 21 again.

Gosh , I scored 12 years younger ! But I look like a wreck !!

Worlass Sat 06-Aug-16 11:14:12

Oh heck! Ten years older. Taking it with a (small) pinch of salt, as I am as healthy, if not more so, than other people I know of my age.

5 years younger, don't eat 5-a day. It just doesn't suit my digestion, any way.
I disagree with the whole concept and think the potato is a vegetable. Then I would lose another 3 years.

Body age 3 years older ?

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 06-Aug-16 16:10:06

That quiz is absolute bollocks crap rubbish. I could disprove a lot of that 'advice'.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 06-Aug-16 16:14:06

Does anyone really think eating five lots of fruit and veg a day will prolong your life? Or make you feel any better when your back hurts first thing? hmm Hardly likely. It's genetics that count. And why can't you eat meat and veg, and fish and dairy? Do they only eat one meal a day?

Like I say. Bollocks.

The problem with broad brush tests like this is that sometimes you do not fall into any of their groups and have to make a choice.

For example, smoking; I smoked about one cigarette a month for about 5 years and 10 a week for three or four months. Not exactly not smoking, but not being a smoker either. I classified myself as a non-smoker. I had the same problem with alcohol consumption. I suspect others had similar problems.

Of course it's bullocks, no one is taking this seriously.

Are they hmm

Greenfinch Sat 06-Aug-16 19:51:57

I hope not. I came out at 10 years older.

GrandmaMoira Sat 06-Aug-16 20:40:39

I'm 64 and my body age is 71. If I wasn't previously a smoker, it would be 57.

GrandmaMoira Sat 06-Aug-16 20:43:19

It's interesting that pet owners are younger. I've had pets previously due to pressure from kids but I hate having them and it causes me a lot of stress. Being pet free is much less stressful for me which makes me younger, not older.

Lazigirl Sat 06-Aug-16 20:43:43

Try the "Heartage" test. I think it's more comprehensive.

etheltbags1 Sat 06-Aug-16 21:24:48

just done mine and Im only 1 year behind my real age. Better than older I suppose

durhamjen Sat 06-Aug-16 21:42:27

I eat about ten a day, jingl, and I am ten years younger.

stillaliveandkicking Sat 06-Aug-16 21:43:15

Just clicked on the link.. Do you have to sign up to the BBC site to take it?

TriciaF Sat 06-Aug-16 22:04:09

There's a hand on the left photo - click on that.
I once took another test which predicted when we would die. Mine came out at 102 - I don't know if I want that, but we can't choose.
6 years younger on this one.

durhamjen Sat 06-Aug-16 22:11:42

The heart age one says I could have a heart attack or stroke when I'm 82. That'll do.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 06-Aug-16 22:12:57

God no! Far too young!

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 06-Aug-16 22:13:41

82???!!! shock

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 06-Aug-16 22:15:40

Well, you'd better stop if you want to pop your clogs at 82.

stillaliveandkicking Sat 06-Aug-16 22:15:49

9 years older. well I am about a stone overweight, like a few drinks and a piggy. Not planning to change either grin

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 06-Aug-16 22:15:59

(that was to durhamjen)

Ana Sat 06-Aug-16 22:16:21

The heart one's rather pointless. Your heart may be fine until you're 90, but cancer or an RTA could finish you off well before then!
