Hi Joce, I am struggling this morning , probably because the bank holiday was difficult. It will pass.

How are you ?

henetha Mon 22-Apr-19 10:15:23

I know some might find these lines very trite, but I've always found they help a little.

When the world looks big and you feel small
And you don't seem to have any friends at all,
Keep going, and paddle your own canoe,
This is the only thing to do,
And though the river is deep and wide
In the end you'll get to the other side.

Anniebach Mon 22-Apr-19 10:58:27

I like it henetha, so the days spent canoeing on the river Wye wasn’t wasted, must find my paddle ?

Thank you x

Why do I feel worse as the day goes on?
Is it because I am dreading the night or because I am getting tired?
I was quite positive this morning but that is wearing off now.

Lily65 Mon 22-Apr-19 18:32:52

dragon, an hour or two of positive is good going, all things considered.

Joce345 Tue 23-Apr-19 07:37:39

The River Wye is beautiful, Anniebach. I spent a lot of time around there back in my camper-van days.
I hope your day goes well.

dragonfly46 Tue 23-Apr-19 10:08:59

Feeling crappy this morning - like what is the point?

Joce345 Tue 23-Apr-19 10:11:49

Aww bless you Annie, is it haveing work done that’s upseting for you, I know it does me.. it will be worth it when it’s done Annie. I love dogs, but I am scared of them, more so if I don’t know them.. this is one of the reasons I can’t go out walking on my own.. well one of many but yes I really would like to have a dog to walk with, no way than can ever happen I don’t think..hope it all goes well with you new fence Annie .

Anniebach Tue 23-Apr-19 12:22:16

henetha yes the Wye is beautiful. This is a small country but we certaintly have many rivers, lakes and mountains ,

dragonfly you are depressed ? Do you think it’s reactive depression?

Joce if only you could be comfortable with a dog , you love dogs so it’s a deep fear of them ? A phobia ?

My depression is caused by lack of control, not being physically able to do things I use to do, have always been able to ‘do my own thing ‘, had to, but not now.

dragonfly46 Tue 23-Apr-19 12:27:39

Annie it is definitely reactive depression. I have no peace of mind any more. Nobody understands quite what it is like. I have to be cheerful for those around me as it would not help me if they were worried and depressed also. I am scared and can see no end in sight.

dragonfly46 Tue 23-Apr-19 12:28:14

Annie I understand the lack of control. I like to have everything under my control.

Anniebach Tue 23-Apr-19 12:55:35

dragonfly it must be a lonely place you are in , is there anyone in the medical world you can talk to? We all need hope , even a glimmer of hope is something to hold onto .

dragonfly46 Tue 23-Apr-19 13:25:09

I am seeing the oncologist next Tuesday so may know more then. I felt better when I was seeing someone regularly as they did not seem too concerned so I wasn't but because of Easter I haven't seen anyone for a while.
