lavender lovely that you are back with us. I sense sadness ,
we are here for you
Sending you a Cwtsh x
Hi all x
Hi Annie- I hope you are ok and have had some news from the physio.
We are just back from our walk - it was not so cold out today and just enjoyed being in the outdoors.
I do like the words spoken by your psychiatrist years ago- he sounds like a wise one.
It must be very absorbing researching your ancestors - how far back did you get?
Joce- yes some days are more boring than others. So glad we can still go out for walks it is a saviour. My cupboards have never been tidier either!! Sometimes the news threatens to overwhelm me with fear so keeping busy really helps.
Rafichagran- I think if you are tired you should listen to your body and take the rest you need and feeling down is very tiring . Sometimes though if you are tired and go for a walk anyway it can really invigorate you can,t it. I hope your work day today won,t take it out of you too muchx
Lavender- good to hear from you. Your words are so true- our loved ones are the most important things in our lives.
Doodle,Bluesky,Nonnie,Nanny,Chrissy,Motherofmany, and any I have forgotten I hope you have had a good dayx
Hello all, not got a lot to say, just to let you all know I’m thinking of you..
Annie hope your pain has eased for you...
Doodle not don’t any knitting, or sewing been doing bits on my dolls house...
lavender hope you are doing alright..
have a good evening all ?
lavender nice to hear from you. Hope the move went well and you are settled in your new home. How are your DD and DGD, I hope they are ok? Like Annie I too think something has happened, x
scaredycat I have been in with DH since Christmas Day and am missing getting out a bit. He is doing well but not nearly good enough to go for a walk yet. I am not tidying much. Being quite lazy and reading a lot.
Joce you sound a bit low too. Hope things are ok. How is your dolls house coming along?
Annie I take it you didn’t manage to reach the physio yet, Hope you manage to be in touch soon.
Thinking of you all. Take care x
Hello everyone and Annie xx
Just calling in to send love to you all.
I am in my new home now and love all the walks, the trees and the birds. So quiet and the people around me are lovely, lots have dogs. It has been hardwork but at least I have managed it.
My daughter and granddaughter are doing well, although fed up with the lockdown as we all are.
I know we are all struggling at the moment, this never seems to end does it.
Doodle I am sorry you and your DH have had so much to cope with, I hope things are improving for you both.
Annie I hope you get the help you so deserve.
I am sad at the moment with news I received yesterday.
Wishing you all a peaceful evening, and a good night's sleep. Take care everyone, love to you all xx
Hello everyone. Hope everyone is well xx binks went to the vet Thursday and was netured. He is definitely a he and they think 5-6 years old and has been on streets since birth. They can tell by thickness of skin apparently. Hes still doing really well and is now letting us stroke from head to tip of tail. I also had him chipped.
lavender how lovely to have a positive post from you. Your new home sounds just right for you. Glad your DD and DGD are doing ok. Sorry for your sad news yesterday. Take care x
Nanny so Binks is a boy and a very handsome one at that ?
He is lucky to have found a home with you.
Chrissy haven’t heard from you for a while. Are you ok?
Bluesky is life still plodding on the same.
This lockdown is boring apart from everything else.
Annie are you still cross-stitching?
Sleep well all x
Hi all x
Scaredycat yes the psychiatrist was very wise, he explained
the benefits of walking for mental health illness .
My family tree, I have gone back to 1674 and hope to go back one more generation.
Joyce do try to work on the dolls house, anything which
distracts our thoughts can help.
Doodle yes still cross stitching and yes physiotherapist did
telephone yesterday , still waiting for knee brace ! ! ! !
lavender you did it , new home which sounds lovely, so sorry you have received bad news , hope it will be followed by
good news
Good afternoon all.
Hi Joce- good to hear from you and hope you are ok.
Doodle- hope it’s not too long before you and DH can get out together but in the meantime enjoy a bit of lazy time and your books. You have had a stressful time lately
Lavender- glad you are now settled happily in your new home- it sounds perfect. I,m so sorry you have had sad news- it’s never easy to deal with but the present circumstances just make it that bit harder- take care.
Nanny - Binks is such a lovely cat. You have given home such a kind and loving home he is a lucky boy.
Annie- wow 1674!, over 300 years ago. It must be so interesting to learn about your family history. Do you discover things such as what jobs they did ? Have your family always lived in Wales? Sorry I don’t mean to be nosy but it must be wonderful to learn about your roots.
So glad the physio got in touch and hope the knee brace makes an appearance soon.
Love to all BDGx
Glad you like your new home lavenderzen it's good to hear from you again.
Annie any more news about the physio?
Hope you are all keeping well.
My message has just vanished. Try again
Annie good you heard from the physio. Do you know what the hold up is?
scaredy DH and I would like to go for our walk but at the moment with the virus being so rampant, we are not missing it as much as we otherwise would. I will have to go out tomorrow to collect DHs meds from the pharmacy. I am hoping if I stand outside they will bring them out to me.
rafichagran how are you keeping occupied in lockdown. Any hobbies?
Take care all x
Scaredycatcivil birth, marriage and death certificates started in 1837 but births didn’t become compulsory until 1874 , before this finding occupations was more difficult.
rafichagran Doodle the physiotherapist telephoned and
suggested a hot water bottle to ease the pain in my thigh, she
had to be reminded that filling a hot water bottle with only
the use of a thumb and forefinger was not possible. She then
advised me to get cream from the chemists ,
I don’t recommend trying to place and massage cream on the back of a thigh with one finger ! ! ! !
a thigh
Hello everyone and Annie xx
Annie I am sorry your physio is such rubbish, I do hope you can get some relief from the pain, relentless pain is so debilitating.
rafichagran I hope you have managed your days at work without too much anxiety. Sending hugs.
Doodle I know what you mean about venturing out. I don't go anywhere apart from my walks with my four legged friend and we see very few people, and those we do stay a safe distance away. I wonder if I will ever make it into a shop again - I doubt it. I have all my shopping delivered and the young man, all masked up, brings it into the hall. My little dog loves all the bags of shopping and promptly helped himself to the toy for him that was in one, and ran off with it (he is so funny) he gets excited about everything, particularly if its food or toys!
Joyce I hope you are feeling stronger today. Take care xx
Heavy snow is forecast for tonight, which I will watch from my bedroom window if I wake in the night, as it comes in from the NE and onto the trees.
My heartbreaking news about my friend is just the same - no change, I just keep praying.
Have a peaceful evening everyone, and try to have a good nights sleep. Take care, stay safe and love to all xx
Nanny just seen the picture of Binks, what a lovely boy he is.
Hi all x
Hello Annie I’m off out in a minute. First time since Christmas Day. Going to get DHs medicines. A quick trip there and back no dawdling.
Your physio isn’t really thinking is she. Do you have a microwave? Could you get one of those pads you warm up in the microwave to put on your thigh?
lavender your story about your little dog and his toy made me laugh.
Sorry about your friend. I hope the news is better soon.
Have you had a snowfall yet?
rafichagran hope work is going ok for you.
Scaredycat as I mentioned, I’m off out in a minute. It would be raining wouldn’t it? Have you been for your walk today.
Joce chrissy hope you’re ok.
Take care all
What a damp drizzly afternoon. Kept my mask on for my walk to the Pharmacy. I go so hot despite the weather. Picked up two huge bags of medicines for DH and trudged home. I didn’t realise how unfit I am these days. I was quite worn out when I got back,
I kept a look out for snowdrops Annie but although I saw some shoots, none had flowered yet,
Doodle it’s surprising how quickly we get unfit when staying
indoors for several weeks. How is your husband ?
I am unsure about the physiotherapist, either she lies or they
have much to cope with because of the virus. Which ever , I have to accept it.
Morning Annie lots of snow hear this morning.. hopefully you haven’t got any Annie ????
doesn’t look like I will be seeing my little man for a few day, how time fly’s he’s 8 weeks old now..
Have you had any word from physio yet?
Doodle how are you and your DH doing hope he’s feeling better...
Thinking of everyone hope you are all is ok. Stay warm and safe.?
Afternoon all x Nothing to report here, I guess like most people, every day we go through the motions, no chance of planning ahead, this affects some people more than others. We are able and do walk every day, hopefully the vaccinations will bring some relief. Any of you with health anxiety have fretted about possible side effects? I have of course but tell myself we haven’t got a choice. Annie unfortunately this virus is affecting your care too, how will you manage when you get the Covid appointment? I wonder whether they would come to you? Hope everybody is coping x
Hi all x
No snow and we are starting the 3rd week of January, a difference in length of daylight. Do keep walking, I assure you
muscle wastage is painful.
I was so stressed yesterday, no word from physiotherapist, mini tornado can’t visit, police on the mountain road turning back traffic .
Heard all treatment for arthritis is delayed for over a year so have to accept this.
The vaccination is being given in a hospital 8 miles from town,
choices to get there is car or bus, if a bus then nearly a mile uphill walk , the hospital was originally a TB hospital so was
built on a hillside in the countryside !
The morning on waking I get very down, have to stay in bed waiting for joints to unlock knowing when I get up the pain will go from hip to ankle when I walk.
In a vicious circle, the more I walk the more pain , walk less and muscle wastage will increase . Heads I lose, tails I lose .
Aww Annie god bless you. How do you manage to stay so strong and positive.. I wish I had just a bit of your strength I really do sending you cwtsh Annie xx
Hi everyone!
Annie- your physio is a piece of work!! Doodles idea of a microwaveable pad is good - I have one and they are great.
Glad you are snow free today and love the days already getting a bit longer.
You have so many challenges every day - you really are one brave lady. I hope soon you will get better help.
Lavender- hope that you have better news of your friend today
Doodle- we too had a very wet walk yesterday- we only saw 2;people! Good job your DH is well stocked up now in case the weather gets worse. It’s amazing how quickly fitness levels can drop isn’t it. Maybe just a little daily walk would help at the moment
Joce- can’t believe your little GS is 8 weeks old already.
Bluesky- glad you are going out every day it is so beneficial.
Today I had my first Covid jab and so far so good. I managed to control my HA over side effects and being near people to get it done. It all felt a bit unreal but I am so grateful to have had it. There is no choice really.
Love to all in BDGx
