Grandson..memory loss

My 22yr old grandson,fit,healthy, been taken to hospital with complete memory loss...am terrified....hasn't had accident, nothing, doesn't drink alcohol, really fit...waiting for news...anybody have any idea what this could be....

Excellent news farview. It’s is frightening to witness but it is a benign condition. We didn’t go to the doctor. I was apprehensive for a good few days afterwards I recall. It never happened again.

I’ve only just seen your post farview. It must have been a terrifying few hours for you but I’m so pleased to hear that your grandson is now recovering and back home.

I have had an attack of Transient Global Amnesia. In my case it was very short, about 20-30 minutes, but a friend was out of it for 24 hours. There was no obvious reason for mine, nor my friends. We were not under any exceptional stress.

You only ever have one attack of TGA. If it ocurs twice it isn't TGA!
