Black Dog 12

How is everyone today? I did some ironing earlier, before the weather got too much. I had intended meeting my sister-in-law (widow of late brother) but we decided it's too hot to mooch about, so we'll meet next week. The GDs got home in the early hours this morning. They're having a relaxing day at home today, coming to us tomorrow. I'm off to aqua aerobics at 1pm. Hope everyone on BD manages to have a decent day x

I'm planning to deep clean my living room today, make it nice and relaxing again. Tidy house = tidy mind for me

I just went to change my shorts because i wanted ones with pockets so I could put some music on my phone to clean. Couldn't find one of my sandals... looked all over the bedroom.

Finally just found it in the living room... who walks right through the house with one sandal on? Me apparently

How is everyone in this heat? I hate it. It was lovely in the swimming pool, though. We had a different instructor. She was friendly, encouraging, and motivating - all the things the usual lady isn't. Her music was better, too. My calves ache like mad now.

HVDY- yes today is a bit hot for mooching but have to confess we did just that this afternoon!!
It must have felt so lovely to get in the pool- let’s hope you get the new instructor more often now she sounds good. You obviously had a good workout.

VioletSky- I expect by now you have a lovely tidy room and are having a nice relaxing afternoon. Your sandal episode was funny- the other week I said to my DH that I couldn’t find my phone- it was in my hand!!!! I still haven’t heard the last of it! Senior moment plus?

What a warm day. Not really had the energy for much but I did do the ironing and sort out a lot of my sewing things.
HVDY I see you’ve been ironing too . Not fun in this hot weather is it. Sounds like you had a good workout at aqua aerobics.. Hope your muscles don’t ache tonight. Bet your DGDs have lots to tell you tomorrow.
Violetsky that’s a hot task for today but sometimes having a good tidy makes you feel better. Hope you didn’t wear yourself out.
My shoes and slippers go for walkabouts on their own too. Like my socks. I can often find one but the second one disappears.

VioletSky On holiday once set off in car to drive to a starting point to walk. On way stopped off at shop for drink. Hurrying across road to shop I thought my feet felt funny and clumsy. When I looked down I was wearing slippers instead of my walking boots!

Doodle Your sewing draws sound super and well organised. Just to answer your question, I'm still no better I'm afraid. I can't remember if I said my GP has told me again to visit A&E if pain gets bad, but the pain is bad most of the time now when I get an attack. More frequent and longer episodes I'd never be away. Had to call Dr again today as think I've urine infection. Difficulty with urine passing and urgency. They were supposed to test it today but haven't so I've just taken the antibiotics that Dr prescribed this morning. Family came to see me this afternoon but I think they were worried. They only stopped 20 mins but I did try and DH saw them to car and explained. Bet you wish you'd never asked!

I should explain, family only stopped a short time because they knew I wasnt right and not because they didn't care. Worried in case that didn't sound right. X

I've been talking (mainly listening) to my husband's sister for 90 minutes!

Well, I went to bed too early - 10pm, took Mr Cooper with me - too early for him, too. The little sod woke me up at 2.45! I let him out, went back to bed then heard a lot of yowling. Went downstairs, no sign of him - and I couldn't get back to sleep. I've done last night's washing-up (slovenly of me to have left it hope he comes in soon. My husband sleeps through everything.

HVDY I do hope Mr Cooper is back this morning and he's OK.

This week we are actually getting some nice weather though not as hot as some of you. I am meeting a friend from church for a long walk this morning. She is younger and fitter so I hope I can keep up.
Had a blood test last week. Nurse said they will contact me if anything wrong but if the iron has come up because of pills it doesn’t say what caused severe anaemia. Daughter wants me to push for appointment but that stresses me. I’ve been feeling light headed for a week. Dd wanted me to go down next week to look after cats as she is away but not keen on driving all that way with a woozy head so I’m sending her dad.
I will have a few days to myself and hope to paint the hall but that may not happen.

Annie I hope your ankle is healing so that you can get outside and the house hunting is going well.

HDVY and sweetpeasue everything is better with sleep, I hope you get some.

EllieAnne being anaemic is definitely worse in hot weather.

I dropped my coffee this morning, this has been happening a lot lately, there is no pain or anything, its just as if my hand lets go. I've already broken a favourite mug in the last week. Very odd.

How has everyone managed in this heat? I hate it. I ended up driving to a big swimming place (with wave machine, flumes, etc) with Son1 and GDs. I hadn't intended going out, but their bus didn't turn up (how I wished he'd passed his driving test the other week). I only watched. We then had lunch (not very nice) in a pub, and went to a park before coming back here at teatime (pizzas and salad).

This weather is wearing me out. No energy for anything.
Sweetpeasue yes I’m very pleased with my new unit. Until now I’ve been storing things in boxes which means I have to keep moving them around. Now they are in drawers I can easily get to what I want.
Of course we want to know how you are. Not talking about it doesn’t make your problems go away. It does sound like a urine infection. How are you tonight? At least you have the antibiotics so hopefully that will take the irritation away.
I’m sure your family are concerned about how you are doing. If it gets really bad you should try A&E again even though it hasn’t helped before. Wish we could be of more help.

Ellie Anne hope you had a nice walk with your friend and didn’t over do it.
You are right not to drive with anaemia if you feel wuzzy. Glad you are getting her father to go instead. Please don’t tackle the painting if you don’t feel up to it. Anaemia can make you light headed and you need to be careful.
I agree with Annie it does sound as though your daughter is concerned for you.
Annie I hope it’s not as hot in Wales as it is here. How are you and Lottie (and your other dog) coping?
I don’t feel like tackling things in this heat and don’t really feel like playing my online games either. Just keep looking forward to going to bed at night as I’m still very tired.
Violetsky I don’t want to worry you but I do think you should go and get it checked out by a GP. Tell them about dropping the cup. That’s not right. Do you lose feeling in your hand or have cramp?

I'm sorry but I'm thinking the worst all the time. I was hoping it was urine infection but don't know
Was told yesterday to call surgery and I've called 3 times. Sent to lab but doesn't say urine infection on notes. The thing is I've had trouble passing urine and it hurts the low uterus pain after I've passed it. Been going on for around 4 or 5 months. Plus that terrible pain with bowel, I mean it was evil. The endometrium lining thick and I've had the searing pain in uterus for nearly 18mths. I'm sorry but I'm bringing everyone down with this news and sharing my pain. I know you all care. Son' going back tomorrow. Not been out with them again because pain comes on suddenly. Don't want to upset granddaughter.
Just seen beautiful full moon come up over the horizon of the fields and hill that we can see through a gap in houses. DH and I watched it rise. The world keeps turning doesn't it. It can make us feel so tiny like specks.
Hope you're all not too bad. So pleased Mr Cooper came back.
Looks like we're in for a few more v hot dys. Phew!

Hi all xx I love my cats. Binks friend is called kimi and she was born in a barn of my friend and needed a home. How could I say no! Binks follows me everywhere even to the loo. He walks me to my car in the morning and when I get home he greets me on the drive. I adore him.

Today I spoke to my gd on video call and her little sister normally just looks at the screen and laughs. Today little one said HIYA NANNY I was so happy

Unfortunately I have been dealing with big bouts of depression and the sad news that my dh is terminally ill. He has a couple of years still ahead of him all being well. I have also been dealing with being knocked down mentally over and over again. But you know what I still get up x

Nanny I'm so sorry about your husband's prognosis. That must be incredibly hard to cope with. I don't know what to say. Im glad your cats bring you so much joy and comfort.
Grandchildren can bring so much laughter and love can't they?
Hope you start to feel brighter soon. 'Getting up' and plodding on is all anyone can do. Xx
