In May? Some of us have been throwing a few ideas around. I can get a bus to Leicester [although I don't know the place very well]. Are there and dates/venues etc that would suit various people?
How about pompa setting a date for when he's there but a few of us also doing an exploratory visit at the start of the month [albeit with the possiblity of me getting lost en route having not used the shuttle bus before]? Again exluding 6,11,21,23 and 26th.
I'd rather not, our visit in April is to look after our GC over the school holidays, we won't know whether we will be free until we arrive. August will be easier as we are only cat sitting.
Can I come too please? I want to see the Cathedral and the exhibition as well as having lunch and meeting you.
My DD will have given birth by then so I won't be on mind the toddler duty.
Lots of other lovely things in Leicester. Abbey Park is lovely but you can't do everything in one day, an excellent market, the museum has a couple of mummys and lots of other stuff.
Yes, of course you can [especially as you know Leicester]. I wasn't sure when your toddler minding duties would kick in!We need a few people just in case someone can't make it, which often happens; in this case the most likely scenario will be me taking the wrong train or bus and ending up in the middle of nowhere. If kitty can still make it we need to take her diet into account [gluten free].
Definitely can't do 19th- so have fun and 'report' back- I'll be thinking of you all. Next time I am over, I'll see if we can organise another lunch somewhere. It would be lovely to meet you all.
I'm just bumping this to see what time we want to book a table. Tegan suggested 2pm so anyone who wanted to could do the Richard III thing first or would you prefer to eat at, say, 12.30 and be touristy later?
And, anyone else like to come apart from Tegan, Teetime, J52, possibly Nellie and, maybe, Soutra? Everyone welcome.
