In May? Some of us have been throwing a few ideas around. I can get a bus to Leicester [although I don't know the place very well]. Are there and dates/venues etc that would suit various people?

Tegan Tue 31-Mar-15 16:17:37

Did you want to do the Cathedral bit pompa?

pompa Tue 31-Mar-15 16:41:36

Yes that would be great.

Tegan Wed 01-Apr-15 12:37:06

How about pompa setting a date for when he's there but a few of us also doing an exploratory visit at the start of the month [albeit with the possiblity of me getting lost en route having not used the shuttle bus before]? Again exluding 6,11,21,23 and 26th.

I'd rather not, our visit in April is to look after our GC over the school holidays, we won't know whether we will be free until we arrive. August will be easier as we are only cat sitting.

Teetime Wed 01-Apr-15 16:41:37

I could come.

Tegan Wed 01-Apr-15 17:10:42

Great; so, are there any dates that suit everybody? Then, in August we'll know the place so well we can give pompa a guided tour.

Teetime Thu 02-Apr-15 07:59:15

I'm fairly flexible.

Teetime Thu 02-Apr-15 07:59:45

Oh except for first week in May!!! smile

Tegan Thu 02-Apr-15 13:22:26

Second week in May then; any takers?

Teetime Thu 02-Apr-15 14:52:56

oops sorry am away from 8th to 16th May. can do 19th or 21st - any good?

Tegan Thu 02-Apr-15 15:40:42

kitty can't do 21st. How about 19th?

Teetime Fri 03-Apr-15 08:59:59

19th is fine- looking forward to it. where are we meeting?

Tegan Fri 03-Apr-15 09:28:00

Entering into unknown territory here; shall we start with 'Leicester' and then move forward from there blush?

Nelliemoser Fri 03-Apr-15 09:46:49

Can I come too please? I want to see the Cathedral and the exhibition as well as having lunch and meeting you.

My DD will have given birth by then so I won't be on mind the toddler duty.

Lots of other lovely things in Leicester. Abbey Park is lovely but you can't do everything in one day, an excellent market, the museum has a couple of mummys and lots of other stuff.

Tegan Fri 03-Apr-15 10:10:51

Yes, of course you can [especially as you know Leicester]. I wasn't sure when your toddler minding duties would kick in!We need a few people just in case someone can't make it, which often happens; in this case the most likely scenario will be me taking the wrong train or bus and ending up in the middle of nowhere. If kitty can still make it we need to take her diet into account [gluten free].

Tegan Fri 03-Apr-15 10:17:35

Can J52 still make it that day?

kittylester Fri 03-Apr-15 16:23:50

Carluccios is good for me unless anyone fancies anywhere else! It's easy to find if you can find up!

J52 Fri 03-Apr-15 16:58:36

I can as far as I know! Carluccios is fine with me. x

kittylester Fri 03-Apr-15 17:16:21

Up was meant to read jl! Beeping phone!

That's good J52!!

granjura Sat 04-Apr-15 11:03:25

Definitely can't do 19th- so have fun and 'report' back- I'll be thinking of you all. Next time I am over, I'll see if we can organise another lunch somewhere. It would be lovely to meet you all.

Tegan Sat 04-Apr-15 11:17:45

That's a definate granjura; just let us know when you're over smile.

Tegan Sun 26-Apr-15 19:12:42

Thought I'd better bump this up as we're still going for it but I still haven't done my 'trial run'.

Teetime Sun 26-Apr-15 19:22:41

Love Carluccios too.

J52 Sun 26-Apr-15 20:16:22

Yes I'm definitely in! x

kittylester Thu 30-Apr-15 18:37:12

I'm just bumping this to see what time we want to book a table. Tegan suggested 2pm so anyone who wanted to could do the Richard III thing first or would you prefer to eat at, say, 12.30 and be touristy later?

And, anyone else like to come apart from Tegan, Teetime, J52, possibly Nellie and, maybe, Soutra? Everyone welcome.
