Government resignations since autumn:
1 November 2017 - Fallon
8 November 2017 - Patel
20 December 2017 - Green
29 April 2018 - Rudd
8 January 2018 - Greening
8 July 2018 - Davis
There have been six resignations in 249 days. That’s one every six weeks

Just woken up to the news that the incompetent David Davis has resigned. Just as Brexit was all going so well? The useless Grayling should be next - how come he is still in post? Not to mention the awful foreign secretary. Interesting to watch develpments as the day wears on. The bookies and removal men will be busy.

It was fine for billionaire Tony Benn to be against going into the Common Market and the luxury of his extreme left views did split the Labour Party (remember the SDP?) Most working class Britain wanted to get a share of the growing economy in the EU, the freedom of movement, higher salaries, cheaper holidays, better Laws to protect us in work, holiday pay, protection during maternity, abuse laws, pension laws .

But more importantly TAX laws. Too many are getting away with not paying their full amount due. We rely on this revenue to keep the country running, NHS, education, police, infrastructure, keeping us a great country by looking after our most vulnerable. Civilised. It is a vital part of our democracy, the richest contributing more towards the part of the economy that is weakest. That area grows and far more are able to contribute tax.

But some became greedy. They saw that rich people in Greece didn't pay tax, they wanted to hide their profits abroad or spend it in ways which we now know is destroying the fabric of Britain. Buy to rent property. We are a small island and with over 11 billion landlords (many who rely on govt benefits from tenants to keep paying their mortgages and rising rents we have a serious imbalance on welfare distribution. They will try all the tricks to avoid paying all the tax owed, Like Greece

Greece collapsed, the Government had to use peoples savings, pensions and trusts to try and run the country. The billionaires were still there, they could see what their greed had done to their country. We are going to be in that position very soon.

Next January 1st there is a new EU law that makes it a CRIME not to pay full tax. That is why the Rees Moggs, Farages, IDSes are frantic to get out of the EU. They make a phenomenal amount of money and if they want the pleasure of living in Britain they should be paying the correct tax. Not deciding for themselves how much they contribute. Our NHS should never have a funding problem, we are a wealthy country but some greedy people are hiding and keeping that is owed to us.

So on January 2nd 2019 when we should still be in the EU it will be a prisonable crime not to pay full tax. That is the reason for Brexit.

Lets look on the bright side.
Perhaps one day, even if not in our lifetimes, a truthful politician will emerge.

We are leaving the EU varian and any anger and frustration you have regarding the small majority who voted for Brexit would be better aimed at the 28% of eligible voters who couldn't be bothered to vote.
Well said Smileless - I agree and these are the lazy voters whom I find most annoying.

Posters keep talking about the future of the younger generations - but they were the ones suffering from inertia at the time of the referendum.

Brexit can and could be stopped. Why, when we can clearly see how damaging any type of brexit could be, should we not have the opportunity to think again and say NO - we do not want to inflict that harm on our country, our children and grand children?

What you actually mean Varian is to give in to the EU Mafia, it shouldn't need to be stopped because they are acting like thuggish minders.Any country should be allowed to leave with some grace, should the populace of that country decide they want to go, yes, expect negotiations but not the sarcasm, nasty asides to journalists and generally dismissive attitude to the UK.They were like this even before we decided to leave, look at how Cameron was
Treated by them.

EU mafia - well at least we were there, at the heart of the matter - and able to influence.

Do you really think that the USA, Russian and Chinese maffias will be more comfortable 'partners' - well we won't be partners, we are in no position to compete, really- so we will truly be vassals-Take any deal, at any price - to survive.

Pollution, environment, workers rights, human rights, our NHS and social services, our utilities (well the little bit we still own), army, nuclear bases, transport incl. airports - are u ready to lose them all for so called deals?

Hormone and soya beef à la antibiotics, and yes .... chlorinated, pesticide filled chickens...

The "mafia" we should be worried about are the shady criminals who manipulated our EU referendum and Trump's election.

The Brexit Mafiosi of Banks, Farage, Johnson et al are quite happy to push this country into bankcrupcy so they can feather their own nests come deregulation. They aren’t interested in the have nots. No wonder they don’t support May’s Chequers proposal which is effectively Brexit in name only.

I agree crystaltipps. The problem is that we have brexit supporters who are not willing to believe any objective facts.

If it doesn't suit their agenda it will be dismissed as fake news.

The one thing standing between the British people and a way out of the shambles in which they find themselves is a misunderstanding of democracy. The exit from Brexit is by way of a second popular vote – anything less would pollute British politics for at least a generation with the toxic taint of betrayal.
