both Margaret Hodge and Ian Austin now face disciplinary action , Margaret for telling Corbyn he was anti semetic and Ian for telling a close friend of Corbyn the party has become a sewer . Freedom of speech not allowed in the party.

So don't bother apologising for what you believe in. It comes out as you post.

Indeed it does.

Thanks Allygran for taking the time to go through stormer's lengthy and rather accusatory posts. You've picked up on many points that concerned me, and no doubt others who are following this thread.

Jalima1108 Mon 13-Aug-18 17:42:53

His own mother and father met at the demonstration against fascism at the now historic Cable Street,

What does that mean, apart from the fact that Corbyn's parents were left-wing activists who demonstrated against fascism? That was in 1936, long before Jeremy was born.

Anniebach Mon 13-Aug-18 17:51:04

Corbyn’s parents met at a Spanish Republican meeting during the Spanish civil war

Jalima1108 Mon 13-Aug-18 17:56:09

Thanks, Anniebach, I did know that but forgot the details. I knew it was in the Thirties.

The couple had met in the Thirties at a meeting in London for supporters of Spain’s Republicans in the fight against Franco’s fascists.

I think Naomi Josling was at the Cable Street demonstration, according to Jeremy.

Corbyn was at the wreath laying tribute to the terrorists who murdered the Israeli Olympians but he doesn’t think he was actively involved in it , this was in 2014, he wants to be PM with such a bad memory !

Rather like he has never spoken to an IRA member, shared a platform with one though !

" grumppa Mon 13-Aug-18 16:11:37

I find it intriguing that a member of Jewish Voice for Peace should choose Stormer as their nom de plume, presumably unaware that Der Stürmer was a virulent Nazi propaganda newspaper."
I thought that too grumppa.
Those posts didn't ring true to me. There's a website called Stormfront. And an american one The Daily Stormer.
I hope GNHQ can check out the credentials of this poster.

Jalima1108 Mon 13-Aug-18 19:45:37

The group the new poster claims to belong to is based in America.

Iam64 Mon 13-Aug-18 20:38:08

Away, just catching up. Thanks grumps, fennel and others who challenged stormer so well. I especially appreciate the Der Stermer references.

Forget the antisemitism row which has just served the interests of those who do not want an effective opposition.

Follow the nuance: Labour is edging towards ditching Brexit

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/aug/13/labour-reversal-brexit-jeremy-corbyn

Anniebach Mon 13-Aug-18 21:34:28

Dismiss racism to win an election? Not me. You honestly think Corbyn can lead an effective opposition?

This thread is Labour Party and anti semitism not brexit, you have several threads on that varian.

Clegg dismissed his principles and where did that get his party?

Anniebach Mon 13-Aug-18 21:36:15

There are four brexit threads

Devorgilla Mon 13-Aug-18 21:44:35

Stormfront is an Apple store in York. Unless there is another one.

Allygran1 Mon 13-Aug-18 22:28:33

Varian just answered that on the Brexit thread.

Corbyn and the antisemitic Labour party, is an issue that some would like to put aside. It is fortunate indeed that we have some people who are standing up and speaking out and in the process they are pilloried and threatened. This has been put under control very softly but effectively when people as individuals stood up for Margaret Hodge. Politics with a small p at it's very best. The power it seems is not always where we the public think it lies.

Allygran1 Mon 13-Aug-18 22:33:01

Quite right annibach. Clegg assigned the the Liberal's to the political wilderness for the duration as far as I can see. It looks like Tim Faron and one of the Labour now Independent MP's Woodcock, after the Whip was withdrawn for speaking up against Corbyn, are looking to form a centre party. Don't know much about it yet.

Oldwoman70 Tue 14-Aug-18 08:41:28

Annibach said "Corbyn was at the wreath laying tribute to the terrorists who murdered the Israeli Olympians but he doesn’t think he was actively involved in it"

There are pictures of him holding the wreath, participating in prayers and reading the memorial plaque to them - but he doesn't think he was actively involved!

Blinko Tue 14-Aug-18 08:47:43

Ah, Jalima that says it all! A ranter.

Anniebach Tue 14-Aug-18 08:53:54

Those terrorists castrated the athletes before killing them.

I was realy upset yesterday , this man sickens me, the lies coming from the Labour Party trying to cover up his past.

He can visit and lay a wreath for terrorists but refused to visit the Israeli Holocaust Museum. This will not make any difference to his devotees . Now he is involved in a twitter battle with the Israeli PM, he is sooo Donald Trump. I nearly left the party yesterday, I am ashamed to say I am a member of that party.

Fennel Tue 14-Aug-18 08:58:46

"Stormfront is an Apple store in York. Unless there is another one."
It is, or was, a white supremacist racist website. I think it's been banned now.

Anniebach Tue 14-Aug-18 09:00:29

Why is Faron wanting to form a centre party, he is a Lib, he failed as leader. I am reaching the point where I don’t care who wins the next election. Labour or Tory? Just as well ask ‘do you want to be hanged or shot.

Jalima1108 Tue 14-Aug-18 10:18:41

If he is, this is not the party I am hoping for.

Farron, even though he may be a very decent man, was like a damp squib.

Anniebach Tue 14-Aug-18 10:19:07

Stormer gave us what the young Momentum members are told and the young believe it, they don’t check, don’t ask questions, they are led to believe they can change the world.

Allygran1 Tue 14-Aug-18 15:51:07

So right Annibach it's out with the old and in with the new. It takes time to realise that there is no new wheel, there has always been someone who invented it before they did.

Momentum though has one thing that I have not seen for a very long time, not since the off spin socialist groups who hid under that term, but really were communist's. Momentum appear to be thinking big. Their ambitions are fuelled by opportunity through Brexit, facilitated by modern technology and their propaganda is distributed on the high end of information technology and all that it offers in promoting ideology to the young and inexperienced. They also seem to be recruiting from the young graduate/professional classes, with far left socialist ideology that justify's for them their privilege. When it comes to treating people in the Labour party with respect and equality, as you have exposed on GN Annie, those basic's of their ideology seem absent, demonstrated in the intolerance of some Labour Party members and MPs who stand up against things that they see wrong in the Party.

Their plan seems to stay in the EU but not for the reason's that other remainer's want to. They want to 'democratise" the European Parliament, on that I agree, but that is where agreement stops for me. They also intend Nationalising all things, including financial institutions, which would be easy to do through taking over the EU because of their regulations, rules and directives, the system lends itself to control of 27 Country's.

They also state they want to introduce a Europe wide socialist centric organisation. So similar ideology to JC I think although you will know more about this than me, but from a very different perspective I think. The destruction of Capitalism in favour of the people seems to be a key cliche'. Little knowing or understanding that we have been here before in a fifty year experiment in Russia, that destroyed thousands of lives (their own people) and brought Russia to Bankruptcy. Russia embraced Capitalism not because the powers that be wanted to, they needed to feed their people and protect the rich, which sounds odd in a Communist society, but nothing, even Communism is ever as equal as imagined in the ideology.

Allygran1 Tue 14-Aug-18 15:58:15

Not sure what is going on with Tim Faron and Woodcock, they are both from the same area in Cumbria/Lancashire border, but not sure if they are both disillusioned from a different perspective so a common ground looks attractive to both of them. Jalimal is right nice decent chap, but hopelessly out of his depth as the Lib Dem leader. Not seen much about this joining of minds at all. Something to watch though.

Allygran1 Tue 14-Aug-18 16:06:38

Anniebach I love the hung or shot! [giggle]. I have this vision of us all sitting in our living rooms or kitchen's whilst the Martians take over saying ' whatever'.

At least we are all still engaged and still fighting for what we believe in, different though our ideology's might be. As long as it still matters, there is hope for the future. Just great!

lemongrove Tue 14-Aug-18 16:12:33

Just seen the newspaper ( Telegraph) front page with Corbyn saying he didn’t think he helped lay a wreath (to Palestinian terrorists) in 2014...... next to a photo of him holding it! He can’t even be honest about his views.
