At last a Labour MP has spoken out . Chuka Umunna

Alistair Campbell and Damian McBride ( Mc Poison ) , what a lovely pair.

Damian Mc Bride of course returned to the Labour fold and took a senior role in Corbyns Labour party as Shadow Defence Secretary Emily Thornberry's media adviser. Is he still there?

Even under the mecheavellian days of Campbell and Mc Bride there were never calls for deselection and bullying by activists and Labour Members as seen once again rear it's ugly head from the days of Militent Tendency. Now Frank Field and Harriet Harman are targeted not by the likes of Campbell but the wider Jeremy for Leader/Momentum Party/Labour Party.

Poor b-gg--s

trisher Sun 09-Sept-18 20:29:42

How could there be any deselection calls POGS? MPs were firmly controlled, were bullied and abused, by an unelected party member. The calls for deselection come from the constituency members are you saying they have no option other than to accept the sitting MP regardless of how much support there really is?

Anniebach Sun 09-Sept-18 20:32:45

No Political leader before has had such dark forces as Momentum working for them, , training days or brain washing days ?

POGS Sun 09-Sept-18 20:34:51

Grandad 1943

When you ask :-

" We all know what Corbyn and the Labour party new left policies are. However, can someone who believes that centre-left thinking is better please explain what that thinking would entail. "

If you believe the Blairite/Centre Left should explain their thinking are you agreeing that Labour under Corbyn has moved to the far left.

I think it is pretty damned obvious but there is so much denial I wonder why.

Anniebach Sun 09-Sept-18 20:34:58

Strange how those facing de selection are on Corbyn’s hit list .

POGS Sun 09-Sept-18 20:38:56

" MPs were firmly controlled, were bullied and abused, by an unelected party member. "

Now they are controlled by the Party within a party Momentum.

trisher Sun 09-Sept-18 20:39:16

You see POGS you are once again making assumptions. Blair would not be described as Centre left by many of us, in fact the Liberal party were actually to the left of Blair's Labour Party, who therefore should probably be described as centrist without the left. Which means that the present Labour Party is simply Left wing and not far left at all.

POGS Sun 09-Sept-18 20:50:28

So if Blair and New Labour are not centre left who is Grandad and others asking the question of:-

" We all know what Corbyn and the Labour party new left policies are. However, can someone who believes that centre-left thinking is better please explain what that thinking would entail. "

Please explain who?

Anniebach Sun 09-Sept-18 21:08:01

Corbyn and Co are far left . Too claim Gordon Brown is a Tory is the daftest thing I have ever heard ?

OldMeg Mon 10-Sept-18 07:05:06

Oh I’ve heard much dafter than that!

trisher Mon 10-Sept-18 11:42:53

He was using the language you yourself have used POGS. It's called communication. Of course I don't think anyone ever answered the question did they?
I would call far left policies-mass nationalisation of services, companies and banks. Taking back into public ownership any resources (swimming pools, libraries etc) which have been handed over to charities or other organisations by local councils. Standard wage for everyone regardless of their job. High taxation to pay for all above. Free education from 3 at all levels including university. Massive house building programme to provide social housing for all with compulsory purchasing of properties in areas where public servants are unable to live because of cost.
Now if you can find any of those in present Laour Party policy I will admit they are Far Left.
So come on what are Centrist Left policies?

Anniebach Mon 10-Sept-18 11:50:52

It isn’t all the far left policies that I disagree with, it is the way the far left try to achieve them

Anniebach Mon 10-Sept-18 11:52:44

How can there be centre left policies , then is no centre left party, I am centre left but I cannot speak for all centre left members.

trisher Mon 10-Sept-18 12:01:15

Wiggle wiggle wiggle Presumably if you are Centre left you have policies you believe in Annie. You could try posting them. This isn't about political parties but political beliefs.

grannypauline Mon 10-Sept-18 12:02:40

So... Centrists have a task here: firstly to give us their solution to the many problems facing society today and secondly to say how they disagree with trishers far left policies - to which I would add the cancellation of Trident.

The voting public is not that stupid - they want to see solutions to problems.

Anniebach Mon 10-Sept-18 12:14:42

Trisher, you are putting forward the Corbyn/Momentum Party policies. When a centre left party is formed and policies put forward I will give my opinions

POGS Mon 10-Sept-18 12:25:48

trisher

POGS

" So come on what are Centrist Left policies? "

Not my problem and it is you and others who are challenging those to define what Centre Left policies are.

My point is, if you read my post, if you and yours believe Corbyn /Momentum are Centre Left not Far Left then answer the ruddy question you keep asking of others.

POGS Mon 10-Sept-18 12:28:10

trisher

"Wiggle wiggle wiggle Presumably if you are Centre left you have policies you believe in Annie. You could try posting them. This isn't about political parties but political beliefs."

How can posters like Anniebach be Centre Left if you believe Corbyn/Momentum are Centre Left ?

Anniebach Mon 10-Sept-18 12:32:58

Centre left parties have never had a problem with racism, centre left party members would never support a party that did. A party I choose to support has to have more than policies I agree with

Grandad1943 Mon 10-Sept-18 12:34:25

Wiggle wiggle wiggle, working not have time to say more.

Perhaps later

Anniebach Mon 10-Sept-18 12:38:33

Not at the conference grandad1943, if not who is organising it ?

trisher Mon 10-Sept-18 12:44:03

Oh POGS I have many times posted that the Labour Party is not Far Left and asked which policies of theirs are seen as Far Left by those who make such an accusation. I have now posted what I see as far Left policies. I await some policies which those who claim to be Centrist Left would like to see the Labour Party supporting. But I'm not holding my breath!

Anniebach Mon 10-Sept-18 12:47:25

If the Labour Party is not far left, not centre left, not centre right, not far right, what else could it be !

POGS Mon 10-Sept-18 12:55:12

trisher

You claim Corbyn/Momentum Labour is not Far Left and you are not Far Left. Your view I understand that.

That means you are Centre or Centre Left does it not.?

So by asking those who are Centre Left to post about Centre Left policies it can be answered by yourself and others who don't believe Corbyn/Momentum are are not Far Left.

As Alexander would say 'Simples'

POGS Mon 10-Sept-18 13:02:51

Grandad

At work but presumably you are at lunch .

Are you by any chance at the TUC Congress in Manchester?

I was disappointed it was not covered on the BBC Parliament Channel I am sure it is usually as I have watched it many times in the past. I have only caught a snippet live on BBC News and Frances O'Grady was on the podium.
