It's interesting how many of you are allowing yourselves to be wound up by someone obviously intending to do that. Might be Nigel Farage, the level of comment is similar. God help us if people who view the world so simplistically find their way to influence and power. I'm beginning to think life was better when you needed a public school education to enter politics and those of limited intelligence and capacity were confined to life in the factory. Oops, the excitement of the day is breaking my recent promise to myself to avoid this forum, silly me.

Our politicians are the laughing stock of the world maybe, (DEFINITELY the laughing stock of the UK - self serving, pompous, self-righteous elites, most of them) but I don't suppose many people in bars in....Italy, Estonia, Latvia, Germany etc, etc, are creased up laughing or even talking about Brexit. It is OUR concern.

Our elected representatives have made a complete hash of it. We voted OUT and could leave with no deal. The Remainers have made that course of action impossible. I am angry - but not so much that it is going to effect my daily life. my goings on. That's why we may be scoffed at in Europe but I don't imagine many ordinary mortals are following proceedings closely and waiting with baited breath for our next move, or cock up.

We are only significant because of the BILLIONS we pour into the EU every year.

I do not blame EU bureaucrats one bit for saying "Enough!" I wish a majority of MPs could say the same in the House of Commons and determine we leave as promised asap, deal or no deal.

EU membership has been great value for money. The cost of Brexit so far (and we have not even left) is a tragic waste.

Extending Article 50 is the best route to getting the final say for the people. MPs voted on several amendments this evening - including one that contained a people's vote, which failed.

Best for Britain and the People's Vote campaign have been clear - today was not the right time. Events are moving fast and we need time to build the consensus and the majority in Parliament for a vote that can win, very soon.
