How long must we put up with this blithering incompetent?

Poly Toynbee summed up her lack of ability and vision in this quote

“How different all this might have been under a wiser, cleverer, more empathic and perceptive leader. She could have reached out from her first day to try to heal the great gash in the country caused by David Cameron’s reckless referendum. Imagine if she had called a national council, a Speaker’s conference or a commission of all parties and interests, with citizen’s assemblies to lay out what was actually possible and what was fantastical nonsense in ways forward. But that is a unicorn wish: she is what she is. The country fell into the hands of someone only capable of making a very bad situation infinitely worse.”

You can't blame remainer MPs for May's incompetence, the extreme Brexiter MPs who refused to support her must take a share of the blame. Her stoicism has ceased to become a praiseworthy trait, rather, this is now being criticised from all sides for single robotic vision, using coercion rather than discussion, taking no notice of what anyone else thinks and missing any opportunities at unifying the country. She wants to go down in history as delivering the "will of the people" without considering the will of the 48 million who did not vote to leave. She'll go down in history alright, but it won't be for anything good.

I have just read this transcript. It's lengthy, but very interesting in light of where we're at on 23/03/2019. She should have listened.

Sir Ken Clarke - Speech on Brexit 30 Jan 2019

'As I have said, the Government of the day have got to give this House a far bigger role, which therefore means a much bigger responsibility on this House to create the intraparty, cross-party majority that is the only majority of any kind that might be available here for any sensible way forward.'

Stubbornness was Mrs Thatcher's downfall.
Last night's 'appeal' to the voters was a huge faux pas - to try to appeal to the voters and blame MPs, the very ones she needs on her side, was a grave error of judgement.
