JRM believes, as I do and the voting majority do, that the UK is better off out of the EU. (You can argue that point on other threads until the cows come home...)

If her WA is not accepted then we are all at sea. Reading around it would seem that the UK has Hobson's Choice. A bad WA or no Brexit in the foreseeable future.

Like many, he does not like the WA, it's better for the EU than it is for the UK, but at least it gets us out of the EU and that is crucial.

Our MPs will not accept No Deal. The EU will not accept any tampering with this one. Many of us are of the belief that No Deal really is better than what's on the table at the moment, but it ain't gonna happen.

Our Remainer MPs (playing for Brussels) have forced the UK into a corner. It's a bad deal or nothing. JRM and Leavers appreciate what is happening.

Listening to the news just now, one of the reporters covering Brexit mentioned "the nooks and cranies of Westminster".

For some strange reason, my brain instantly transposed this to ''the crooks and nannies ..."
I'm still trying to work out why a vision of JRM came into my head at that moment

I presume you have checked every investment you may have, including pension funds, if you receive a pension other than the State pension, and that the bank you use is investing in entirely ethical ways.

You really don't have to be minted - you could have a private pension fund or an annuity which is worth peanuts - but as long as you know exactly where your money is invested, in ethical funds, that is absolutely fine!

I didn't say I liked J R-M at all and in all probability would not vote for him - but that we need to look at ourselves first before throwing brick bats

I do like to peruse the facts before making a decision.

Why are Leavers blaming Remain MPs for the mess we are in? Leavers want to leave but do not vote for the deal that is on offer. Remainers are much more moderate and willing to accept this deal as a compromise. The ERG caused all this and will never compromise or be moderate.
I like the analogy that JRM and JC are two sides of the same coin.

I said a couple of weeks ago GrandmaMoira that I would accept TM’s deal. I said at the time it’s not Leave. But it’s not Remain either, so it’s a compromise.

If both sides are disillusioned that’s good. No side feels they have got everything they wanted. That’s compromise!

As the MP’s have voted down 8 alternatives tonight, I’m hopeful (still) that TM’s deal gets through.

If it does, she will walk. That has to be a bonus. Plus it means we leave on 22 May! Maybe, just maybe, at this 11th hour, the EU will offer something in the next 36 hours to get the deal through (so Arlene Foster can agree to it).
