I can imagine we will be horror struck as next week plays out. The cabinet will be a sight to behold.

varian Wed 24-Jul-19 18:21:37

Yes I think so. Putin is the sponsor of Trump and Brexit because he wants to destabilise the West.

The man who presides over a basket case Russian economy became the most powerful politician in the world when he pulled off two coups in 2016.

If our newly elected buffoon PM is allowed to do his will and "deliver" brexit Putin will be laughing all the way to the bank.

and still people won't or can't - see it for what it is sad

Firecracker123 Wed 24-Jul-19 18:36:14

Desperation now from the Remoaners, Putin lol. Next it will be far right Hitler references, racist slurs, mistresses new low there.

jura2 Wed 24-Jul-19 19:02:54

yes Putin, Trump, Cambridge Analytica, Banks, Bannon - and so much more. It is indeed a desperate situation - and yes, I do find it so hard to understand how people can't or won't see. Emperor, no clothes and very very dodgy links ...

Fennel Wed 24-Jul-19 19:16:53

So what do you suggest we do about it jura?

crystaltipps Wed 24-Jul-19 19:21:03

Pritti Patel as HS? Ghastly woman who opposes gay marriage and supports the death penalty, calls poor people lazy and resigned from her previous job under a cloud.

Shoequeen53 Wed 24-Jul-19 19:25:33

I know. Makes you want to cry.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jul-19 19:26:08

This is the most hard right government the UK has ever had

Day6 Wed 24-Jul-19 19:27:16

it could mean an awful lot of things. For Boris and his rich mates

Typical leftist remark about wealth. The politics of nastiness and envy. hmm It is sickening. No one wants your communism, no one wants your sort of corrupt social levelling.

Corbyn is a millionaire, and he has rich and influential mates too. Many Labour Party MPs are very wealthy.

Lessismore Wed 24-Jul-19 19:33:02

I think we have moved on from the days of Labour being all about cloth caps and unions.

Just because a person doesn't care for the narrow elite who follow the well trodden path of Eton and Oxford/Cambridge, it is not necessarily envy or communism.

Day6 Wed 24-Jul-19 19:34:09

This is the most hard right government the UK has ever had

Not so. You cannot perpetuate the myth in 2019 that the Conservative party looks after the rich. Boris in his acceptance speech acknowledged the need to care and look out for all.

You want to smear the right, but it doesn't stack up.

Labour governments haven't eradicated poverty. If anything they have become the party of the middle class.

Go and view last nights BBC2 programme about how left wing and middle class the Labour Party now is. "How the Middle Classes have Ruined Britain" They positively abhor having poor neighbours. They talk the talk but heaven forbid they walk the walk with the lower orders.

Instead they build ivory towers away from street level and pat themselves on the back that their phoney left wing credentials are OK. Despicable people.

Hypocrites!

Lessismore Wed 24-Jul-19 19:41:23

Blimey take a chill pill Day6

jura2 Wed 24-Jul-19 19:46:05

I totally disagree with Lemon- but I have to say that the 'take a chill pill' mantra is way out of order and not helpful.

POGS Wed 24-Jul-19 19:46:08

trisher

I asked if you had the right Leader re Putin because Corbyn couldn't even back our government re Salisbury and Syria.

Shoequeen53 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:10:46

When, at the end of a decade of austerity, the priority is a bung to people earning £80k, it’s safe to say the BJ government is looking after the (relatively) rich.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:20:35

Patel will drive me mad. Apart from being the most hard right Home Secretary we e ever experienced, her pronunciation makes my ears steam..

Everythink.

Goin.
Somethin.

Amongst others. Grrrr

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:22:12

Your blood pressure seems a tad high tonight day6
Stressed?

lemongrove Wed 24-Jul-19 20:25:17

I was going to say the same for you WWM2 what with your steaming ears.grin????

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:27:12

So Johnson intends to open the market to GM food. That will please Trump and his farmers.

If we go down that road, we won’t be able to sell to the EU. Our biggest market by far.

Day6 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:31:45

Blimey take a chill pill Day6

and

*Your blood pressure seems a tad high tonight day6
Stressed?*

This, from our left wing posters.

My blood pressure is fine. My dislike of sneering hypocrites knows no bounds though. hmm

Perhaps the truth about left wing politics in the UK today hurts? It's a source of embarrassment maybe? Think I may have touched a nerve for you both to respond as you have. hmm

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:41:07

I see the EU will reject another of Johnson ideas of Singapore type free ports.

They are money laundering high risk.

I wonder how Johnson is going to pay for all his plans and spending demands coming his way? If this was Labour the right wing press would be screaming from the roof tops.

GillT57 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:41:20

Sigh. Day6,the criticism of Johnson isn't just from the far left hypocrites as you so charmingly described them. Many current and previous Tory voters are also concerned. Brexit is not on party lines. Your view of political beliefs and allegiances is rather simplistic.

jura2 Wed 24-Jul-19 20:49:23

'Oh Gawd!
Have a wine jura'... and this from a right wing poster..

comments about BP, chill pills, having a drink, one's country of birth or current residence- etc, etc, are not acceptable imho, wherever they come from . Thanks.

lemongrove Wed 24-Jul-19 21:04:29

Would it be better from a left wing poster??
I haven’t got any chill pills to take, but a good glass of red
wine as you sit relaxing is good advice at any time, and after two glasses you won’t be worried about much at all.
There is far too much stressing out over politics going on.

jura2 Wed 24-Jul-19 21:16:59

you don't really read posts, do you, lemon?
