I would just like one thread for brexiters only please.

I voted leave. I would vote leave again and again and again. There has been nothing to change my mind. I have been hardened by the views of remainers.

I would really like to talk to other brexit minded posters.
Thanks.

My reasons don't have to stand your's or anyone else's scrutiny Gracesgran and it isn't for you or anyone else to say whether my reasons for voting leave, or the reasons of any leavers were or were not based on "truth or reasoned judgement".

As for the "lack of security for over three years", remainers who have from the outset attempted to subvert the result and do everything possible to force leavers to have their vote overturned, and remain in the EU; look to yourselves.

Maggiemaybesmile.

I'm off too Urmstongran. Waste of time but well done for trying aprilrosesmile.

I’m actually not interested in the reasons people have /had for voting as they did. I’m past all that - I think I’m not alone in that. All that irritated me was the ridiculous premise that there should be dedicated threads for a specific point of view.

Leave lies [just some of them]….
We send £350m a week to Brussels
We can’t stop Turkey joining
We can’t stop a European army
We are still liable to pay eurozone bailouts
The UK rebate can be changed against our will
Our VAT exemptions will be ended
Cameron’s deal was not legally binding
EU law is adopted by unelected bureaucrats
We can’t control our borders in the EU
Criminals arriving in Germany can get EU passports and come over here
Health tourism costs us billions
EU needs UK trade more than vice versa
Past referendum results have been ignored
Auditors still refuse to sign off the accounts
CAP adds £400 to British food bills
British steel suffers because of the EU
Irish border will be unaffected by Brexit
UK can’t deport EU criminals
UK is always outvoted
60-70% of laws come from EU
Renationalisation of industries is impossible
We get no veto on future treaty change or integration
The budget ceiling can increase without our consent
We thought we were only joining a free trade zone

Don’t worry worry April Rose we are used to the losers sniping by now , I find it so boring

Ooeyisit Mon 21-Oct-19 17:24:39

Labaik please go and join a remain group then you can call us all you want .

grapefruitpip Mon 21-Oct-19 17:38:50

HQ has stopped a remain group.

It's a terribly sad state of affairs when threads like this are allowed.

Joelsnan Mon 21-Oct-19 17:38:52

Labiak
It’s alright providing a list of what you call ‘lies’. Please justify each line with evidence to support this assumption.
Thanks

Labaik Mon 21-Oct-19 18:04:04

Can you prove that they are, in fact, true then?

Labaik Mon 21-Oct-19 18:08:14

It was compiled by Richard Corbett who is an MEP and I assume he knows more about the workings of the EU than I do, so I'm not prepared to disbelieve him. You can if you want to as I suppose he might count as an 'expert'....

Jellaway Mon 21-Oct-19 18:34:20

I know so many leavers but only a couple of remainers. But those couple of remainers do not allow any of us leavers to even give their opinion at all so now I have given up trying. Thanks to April rose & sf101 & Blue Sapphire, etc. , for making me feel I am still making the right decision. I am skipping past the leavers posts just to find some like-minded people who do not shout me down. Huge relief.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 21-Oct-19 18:40:54

Richard Corbett MEP is a Labour Party Member and a “remainer”

Labaik Mon 21-Oct-19 18:41:49

Does that make him a liar, then?

jura2 Mon 21-Oct-19 18:47:45

No, it does not.

Just been to Costas and picked up the Daily Mail- wow- what a load of bitter bile sad and lies.

Alexa Mon 21-Oct-19 18:51:08

Unfortunately the lies will take us all down leavers and remainers both.

Except for those very few who will profit from teaming up with the US

varian Mon 21-Oct-19 18:51:12

Are Gransnet leavers some sort of endangered species who need to be kept in a special compound, segregated from normal gransnetters for fear of contamination?

We had silly threads like this back before the fraudulent referendum, entitled "a thread for leavers to make it fair" and other such nonsense.

There has never been a thread "just for Remainers". We don't need protection from informed debate.

It would do the leavers good to get out of their safe space echo chamber and learn what the 50 million UK inhabitants who never voted their way actually think.

jura2 Mon 21-Oct-19 18:53:08

graperfruitpick 'HQ has stopped a remain group.'

really? Wow, when, where, why?

crystaltipps Mon 21-Oct-19 18:56:47

Let’s all keep our rose tinted Brexit specs on - only sees one point of view.

grapefruitpip Mon 21-Oct-19 19:01:36

Yes Jura, somebody started one and it was pulled. It's a miserable time isn't it?

Joelsnan Mon 21-Oct-19 19:03:50

Still waiting for someone to give me a concise reason to remain. All I have seen to date are non specific and often non Brexit related comments.

Joelsnan Mon 21-Oct-19 19:07:17

HQ has stopped a remain group

Probably because remain contributors hijack every other thread. Just as they have done here. Look down every political thread and its the same old names line after line.

grapefruitpip Mon 21-Oct-19 19:09:45

1. To share vital information regarding security
2. Educational qualifications which are Europe wide.
3. Investment in deprived areas from EU funding.
4. Not being a very small country but being part of something bigger.
5. To enhance our lives by being linked up with others.

grapefruitpip Mon 21-Oct-19 19:10:41

I actually think it's most unair to have a thread for one particular group.

Unfair and unkind actually.

suziewoozie Mon 21-Oct-19 19:18:39

Eek fellow Remainers our conspiracy has been sussed.

Labaik Mon 21-Oct-19 19:20:05

But they won so we've got to get over it [oh; I'm forgetting; I'm a BAB today so I'm on the winning side; hurrah...].
