Is Johnson getting bored?

It occurred to me yesterday that we have seen little of the PM in recent days. Not as if anything much is happening, what with serious flooding, an international health crisis and now the stock markets in freefall. I wondered if perhaps he is getting bored with the tedium of being PM? Before this weeks PMQs he has not been seen in public for 12 days. Perhaps is OK for him to be holed up in Chequers over the weekend? What do you think??

In answer to the original question:
clearly not!

Greymar Sat 29-Feb-20 18:43:26

Oh great. Nice.

Opal Sat 29-Feb-20 18:50:50

Seems like Boris HAS been busy after all grin grin grin

GagaJo Sat 29-Feb-20 18:51:57

Yes Opal. It will have taken him all of 2 minutes.

Opal Sat 29-Feb-20 19:03:16

Well, he's obviously a man who can "get things done" grin

GagaJo Sat 29-Feb-20 19:10:26

I had a 14 year old student once who managed to get that 'done' with 2 different girls in one year. Pretty much like Boris really.

Greymar Sat 29-Feb-20 20:36:24

What is going on

varian Sat 29-Feb-20 20:42:53

This is one of the things he should be concentrating on.

Well, it's just been announced that his girlfriend is pregnant. Maybe that has something to do with it

SirChenjin Sat 29-Feb-20 23:11:00

Well, at least he’s sure about this one. Now if only he could remember how many others he’s got...

''Slavish support for Boris Johnson has turned the Telegraph into a joke''

Roy Greenslade in the Guardian. Oh so true.

Fennel Sun 01-Mar-20 17:51:26

Well at least it's one thing he's good at.
Lets hope he follows it up by being a good father. for a change.

I know that if my house was flooded or I had Corona virus I would feel so much better when either the PM or Prince Charles hove into sight ( not!)
We all know that these kind of fleeting visits wielding a mop do nothing, we are not peasants tugging forelocks and grateful for a kind word.
I would rather they did something useful by making sure the local council and the appropriate government dept were doing all they could, both to alleviate the effects of the flood where they can and putting in even more flood control measures in the future, plus coming down hard on all new building where it’s known to be a high flood risk.

Here we are in the 21st century and young women still don't realize that a serial adulterer with a string of children is not going to change. She's only there till the next young blonde comes along.

varian Sun 01-Mar-20 18:02:53

I'm glad I'm not her mother. I'm grateful that my DDs had much more sense and judgement when it came to men. I certainly wouldn't want BJ as a SIL.

SirChenjin Sun 01-Mar-20 18:22:31

No, me neither. My DC aren’t at that stage yet but I hope they set their sights a bit higher.

GagaJo Sun 01-Mar-20 21:41:04

As predicted by George Orwell...

janipat Mon 02-Mar-20 00:25:58

GagaJo ^ It will have taken him all of 2 minutes.^

oh GagaJo, you poor thing, such inadequate sexual partners, you have been severely short-changed!!! Unless that is, you have personal experience of BJ's sexual performance? Despise BJ, but is it fair to judge him solely on your personal experience?

GagaJo Mon 02-Mar-20 07:30:10

Worry you not janipat. It's more likely to be me losing interest than my partner, despite him being considerably older than me.

varian Mon 02-Mar-20 18:56:22

BJ's sexual incontinence is just another indicator of his disdain and disregard for the important issues which a PM should address, or at least be aware of,

It shows how little awareness he has or will ever have of what might be good for our country.

Fennel Mon 02-Mar-20 19:00:45

@ varian - +1.
Does he really have a clue about the many serious things that are going on?
Always that silly smirk .....

varian Mon 02-Mar-20 19:06:20

No Fennel I don't think he has a clue, but does that matter to the readers of the Daily Express, Daily Mail or the Telegraph?

Cunco Thu 05-Mar-20 14:09:26

Varian You do love a stereotype. Do you really believe all readers of those newspapers are alike. I suspect Johnson does have a clue about many of the serious things going on but whether that will be enough, we shall see. I suspect the current situation would tax anyone.

As for sexual incontinence, let the party who is without blame cast the first stone. As a Lib Dem, perhaps you would remind us of the Liberal Democrats record in this area.

jura2 Thu 05-Mar-20 16:59:01

Did you watch him squirm and refuse to answer when he was asked if he was happy with the news, if he would change nappies and mostly, if the rest of his family were happy with the news???

SirChenjin Thu 05-Mar-20 17:18:31

Oh no, I missed that! I take it that there was the usual amount of bluster, arm waving and question evasion from the blonde buffoon? grin
