As a previous Corbynista, I was sad at his stepping down, but hey. That's life. Upwards and onwards.

UNLESS you're a Tory it seems. Many right-wingers, not the left-wingers please note, on here (and IRL) do not appear to be able to say adieu to JC. Constantly harping on about him.

Now, I do think he's a good guy. But he's the past. Life's moved on and we have MUCH more important stuff that we're dealing with now. So why the constant references by NON supporters?

If the roles had been reversed and JC was PM, I wouldn't be giving BJ another thought. I find it all very odd.

M0nica, in regard to your post @16:34 today, are you trying to excuse what those at the Labour Party Central Office have carried out ???????????

In my book, anyone who tries to excuse that action cannot believe in democracy or the rule of law.

The members of the Labour Party and its affiliate members voted overwhelmingly for Corbyn to become its leader. It was then the DUTY of all the employees and others at Central Office to get fully behind that election verdict and the elected Parliamentary Leader.

Good heavens *Gtrandad1943, you imagine I have far more knowledge of the inner workings of the Labour party than I do.

In fact I haven't a clue what you are talking about. I merely said he was elected leader, fullstop. which he was, but was not the most successful leader the Labour Party.

The far left and momentum worked hard at getting elected MP’s booted out. I don’t recall Corbyn devotees speaking against this. Or a MP who was a Jew needed police protection
to attend the party conference. Or Corbyn shaking hands with
Momentum member who verbally abused a Jewish MP and reduced her to tears.

Well Said Grandad1943 And nightowl I hope K Starmer will deal with those who wanted to stop a socialist J Corbyn government.

Anniebach, in regard to your post @13:57 today, Momentum and far left persons were elected to all the positions they have held and still hold within the Labour Party by way of working within the rules, structure and constitution of the Movement.

However, those at the Labour Party Central Office were EMPLOYED to work on behalf of those who have been elected to their positions and for no other purpose. They have not been elected to their responsibilities and therefore have no mandate to act upon any of their own personal political views.

When those employees, whose salaries are paid from members and affiliated members subscriptions, decide to take it upon themselves to work against those who have been elected and the party in general by way of carrying out often illegal procedures, they become nothing else but Scum, total Scum.

In regard to antisemitism in the Labour Movement, we have all now become aware that Jeremy Corbyn's and Jennie Formby's offices were prevented from dealing with those antisemitic allegations by those employees and others working at Labours Central Office by way of those persons withholding the documentation that both Formby and Corbyn required to fulfil their investigations.

Indeed it may have been that any number of those anti-semitic allegations may have even been created within that Central Office.

However, as it would seem that Keir Starmer has yet to give any details of when his announced "review" of the above situation is to begin, or who will be overseeing that review, none of the above can be fully assessed or brought to a fully examined conclusion.

Many of those who it is alleged were involved in the actions at Central office are still remaining and working in their posts without even being suspended while the "review" is carried out.

Starmer by his lack of action in this matter is proving to be a weak and ineffectual leader, especially when he states he wishes to see an end to factionalism within the Parliamentary Labour Party.

It would seem that the situation within the Labour Party grows darker by the day. It is being extensively reported that those named in the released report for their actions in working against the party are now taking up legal action against their employers.

Almost all of the activities that those alleged to have carried out against Corbyn and Formby were recorded on the Labour Party computer system. Therefore the release of that information in the leaked report is a violation of the Data Protection Act

Estimates put the liabilities of the Labour Party in fines and compensation to those named in the report may be as high as eight million pounds. The foregoing figure is not being denied by even the most prominent figures in the parliamentary Labour Party today, and it is being stated that such financial damage would undoubtedly bring bankruptcy to the Labour Party.

I feel that after all that has come about in recent years, months and days none of the affiliate organisations will on this occasion be prepared to put their hands into their pockets to bail the parliamentary Labour Party out.

This is now undoubtedly the greatest crisis in the Labour Parties more than one hundred and twenty year history and may well see the destruction of the party.

Ironically over the years, many have forecast that the left in the Labour movement would bring about the end of the Parliamentary Labour Party. However, it would now seem that it has been the ruthless behaviour of those on the right in Parliament and in their Central Office that has brought that prospect into being.

Many may ask were is Keir Starmer in all this as he has seemingly gone to ground on this issue while all around him his party tears itself apart.

I have been a supporter and subscriber to the Labour Party for nearly fifty-seven years, but as things now stand now I will certainly not be sorry should we witness its end.
