One would have thought that far right protesters would not be anti police. Why can’t they have a peaceful protest?

Whitewavemark2 Sat 13-Jun-20 18:41:58

Ah I see so it wasn’t the BLM per se it was far left infiltrators.

Well yes I can agree if that is the case.

How do we know they were far left supporters?

varian Sat 13-Jun-20 18:46:23

Far right protesters attack the police and anyone else they can attack because they are mindless ill-informed bigots.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 13-Jun-20 18:47:44

However what I will say is that you can’t equate the two lots of violence on a moral level.

One group were fighting for equal human rights for all.

The other for white supremacy

GrannyGravy13 Sat 13-Jun-20 18:49:02

Fortunately they post lots on social media, so there is no place to hide for any thugs these days.

I do hope that there have been arrests made today, we are sporting family
(any sport) and 99.99% of football supporters are not like those in London.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 13-Jun-20 18:52:33

Quite interested in knowing which far left group is infiltrating the BLM though

Riverwalk Sat 13-Jun-20 18:56:51

'Football Lads Alliance'

The name says it all.

maddyone Sat 13-Jun-20 18:58:55

I don’t agree with anyone attacking the police, or anyone else for that matter.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 13-Jun-20 18:59:24

Riverwalk please do not tarnish all football supporters with the Football Lads Alliance

Oopsminty Sat 13-Jun-20 18:59:47

The other for white supremacy

Not all of them!

A friend of my mother lives in Muswell Hall and has made the trip at the ripe old age of 87.

He is a staunch supporter of Churchill ... probably to do with his age and experiences ... and was worried it would be knocked down.

HIs great nephew has gone down with him.

So please, just as not all BLM supporters are thugs, neither are those who only want to preserve something that is important to them.

I think varian has hit the nail on the head

Far right protesters attack the police and anyone else they can attack because they are mindless ill-informed bigots.

I quite agree.

They were vewy vewy cross because the statues were all covered up and they couldn't be big brave boys and protect them. So they lost their little tempers. Bless.

Oopsminty Sat 13-Jun-20 19:05:22

They were vewy vewy cross because the statues were all covered up and they couldn't be big brave boys

?

Dear me.

If we're going down that route should it not be 'bwave'?

Riverwalk Sat 13-Jun-20 19:06:48

Riverwalk please do not tarnish all football supporters with the ^Football Lads Alliance^

I didn't do any such thing.

I'm a football supporter.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 13-Jun-20 19:10:20

I think the op should read

Why do far right protestors attack everyone in their way.?

Moonlight113 Sat 13-Jun-20 19:13:51

Oopsminty Yes. And it should have been cwoss. ?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 13-Jun-20 19:23:55

Apologies Riverwalk

Sussexborn Sat 13-Jun-20 19:29:59

For the same reason as far left supporters I would guess. They are morons out looking for bovver!

Riverwalk Sat 13-Jun-20 19:33:24

Thank you GrannyGravy smile

MotherHubbard Sat 13-Jun-20 21:24:34

John Cleese (@JohnCleese) Tweeted: Hard to tell if I recorded this 30 years or 10 minutes ago... t.co/GPDURhYIJL This explains it perfectly I think

vegansrock Sat 13-Jun-20 21:42:21

Nothing shows how patriotic you are than chanting In-ger-land, Waving a Union Jack , giving a nazi salute at a Churchill statue and pissing on a police memorial. Makes you proud eh?

Anniebach Sat 13-Jun-20 21:52:00

Did the same man do all those acts ?

Callistemon Sat 13-Jun-20 21:57:28

Hetty58

I always think of the range of political views as an almost closed circle. At the top we have the far right and left. They are, in fact, very similar - with their extreme views and inclination towards violence.

At the bottom of the circle are the majority, the 'middles' who tend to lean slightly to the right or left.

Absolutely right, sorry correct, Hetty58.
The extreme left meets the extreme right at some point.

Moderates are at home observing the lockdown rules or are busy working in key jobs.

Barmeyoldbat Sat 13-Jun-20 22:24:15

Mr B said it will all stop when the football starts again!!

Callistemon Sat 13-Jun-20 22:30:41

Well, perhaps when people are back at work.
If they still have a job.

Are you saying that those out on the streets are all football supporters?
I doubt it very much. They are all watching the old matches on the TV.

Maggiemaybe Sat 13-Jun-20 22:40:09

The far-right are like a red rag to a bull towards the police because they know that police are racists but won't own up to it.

Apart from not making an ounce of sense, this must be one of the nastiest comments I have ever seen on Gransnet.

Dollymc2 Sat 13-Jun-20 22:41:00

I am mortified that these disgusting scenes have been viewed around the world
The far right are on the rise. Those Union Jack waving, shaven head, Brexit loving neanderthals were spoiling for a fight
Contrasting it to the respectful 'taking the knee' demonstrations, it was the worst of us
