“ ...and am starting to feel better”

Really good to read, Heathcliff. Wishing you all the best and hoping you’re back home before too long.

Heathcliff23

I am currently in hospital with Covid. Mine deteriorated rapidly in 24 hrs to the extent of not being able to breath and having to call an ambulance so it can happen that quick

Keep your chin up Heathcliff23 - get well soon flowers

Thanks vegansrock

Sending very good wishes for a speedy recovery your way. I’m very pleased to hear you’re beginning to feel better.

Aepgirl Sat 03-Oct-20 10:21:18

I heard a man on the radio last night who said that he’d had mild symptoms, and 2 hours later was unable to walk - it comes on that quickly. This man was immediately put on a ventilator and still has very short breath.

Heathcliff23 Sat 03-Oct-20 10:28:28

Thank you Habitat

Heathcliff23 Sat 03-Oct-20 10:29:05

Thank you Maddyone

GrannyGravy13 Sat 03-Oct-20 10:29:18

Wishing you a speedy recovery heathcliff23

I also wish POTUS a speedy recovery, I am sure that the military hospital he is in will have been chosen for its security and excellence.

Money can buy you excellent care, but if your number is up there is nothing that can save you.

I don’t like Trump. I don’t like many other world leaders even more than I dislike Trump. However I won’t delight in his illness despite the crass remarks he has made about Covid19. He’s ignorant and rude in many ways, but I refuse to wish the man ill. I agree with others about him getting the absolute best of medical care whilst others in America may not. Not only can he afford it, the medics aren’t going to let the president die on their watch.
As for Boris Johnson, he got the very best care that our wonderful NHS can give, exactly the same as many thousands of other Coronavirus patients. There is no private hospital care for Coronavirus available in Britain, everyone receives NHS care. And thankfully they are still there ready to receive any unfortunate Covid19 patients.

Fake News!!!!

I was thinking the same thing! He knows he’s losing the election and what better way to delay the voting. Would his ‘team’ really lie about this? Pretty sad if they would with all the genuine cases going on. The guy is indeed dangerous, but I would never wish this hidden bullet on anyone - even if their lack of self protection is non existent.

Heathcliff23. Sending very best wishes for a good recovery. In fact best wishes to anyone suffering from this horrible disease - including DT! As I said before, I do not wish DT ill, but I do think that, through his belligerence, he could have infected many people - and people who cannot afford healthcare. We are very fortunate in this country to have our wonderful NHS.

annifrance Sat 03-Oct-20 10:40:39

If it isn't fake news then I'm a truly horrible person! I wish him the worst case scenario. I will then breathe a huge sign of relief for the world. Just need Pence to go the same way. Totally agree with struggling.

All the best to Heathcliff.

4allweknow Sat 03-Oct-20 10:43:26

The hospital probably has some strange experimental equipment or drugs that can't be transferred to the White House. Helicopter for a 15 mile journey?? Wonder if he wore a mask this time. So much for his hydroxycloroquine recommendation, doesn't seem to have worked for him.

yep,he's copying Boris , a wee rest in hospital and a diet while he's there and he can come out looking as if he's been ill...its the new fridge hideaway .

What a ridiculous comment Paddyanne

All administrations downplay (at first) if a leader is ill, as they want to appear in charge with no panic. When things take a turn for the worse (in Johnson’s case) then they tell the truth.
He was in ICU and was very ill, you don’t go into those units for a rest.Neither do NHS staff agree to cover ups/lies.
I don’t believe that Trump isn’t ill either, though we shall have to wait and see if it becomes serious or not.He revels in being healthy and looking healthy and strong, and this will be the last thing on earth he wanted to happen!

maddyone Sat 03-Oct-20 10:47:14

I find it difficult to believe that some, thankfully only a few, people in their mature years, are wishing the President of the USA dead. He’s not a likeable man, I don’t think anyone has said that they like or admire him, but wish him dead? Despite him being what he is, there are a fair few world leaders who are infinitely worse than him. I’m not defending him, but I abhor the sentiments of some on here.

Oopsminty Sat 03-Oct-20 10:48:05

Kalu

Here’s hoping all medical staff are Trump supporters. Must be very difficult to administer the best of care to someone you despise knowing so many can’t afford any hospital care due to this particular patient.

Ridiculous and insulting thing to say

Medics will do all they can for anyone in their care

No matter what they've done.

The voice of reason. Of course medics protect their patient’s confidentiality, and in the case of public figures, issue very little information.

How do people reach maturity and speculate about public figures in such a ridiculous manner? Johnson was ill, Trump is ill. Facts please, not wild and ridiculous imaginary events.

dogsmother Sat 03-Oct-20 11:03:06

Get well soon Heathcliff.
Sorry old situation this thread where people could wish Ill on others because of politics.

Bazza Sat 03-Oct-20 11:03:52

Absolutely agree with anniefrance. It’s the people looking after him I feel sorry for. And what about that hair!

biba70 Sat 03-Oct-20 11:06:09

am with paddyanne on this one - I do not believe a word of it. All very carefully planned and choreographed to avoid having to debate and do interviews.

Dylant1234 Sat 03-Oct-20 11:06:30

I hope he recovers as I want to see him beaten at the polls!

Dylant1234 Sat 03-Oct-20 11:07:20

Also because he has. 14 year old son ......

biba70 Sat 03-Oct-20 11:07:24

it is a private military hospital, they can 100% control which staff have access or not- they will be hand chosen.

lemongrove Sat 03-Oct-20 11:10:47

Sadly maddyone online forums thrive on wild and ridiculous imaginary events.Like you, I find the amount of people spouting such guff worrying.....especially if they really believe it.
