Boris did get Brexit done. I was thinking it Wouk£ never happen. We were also looked after during the Pandemic, excellent rolling out of vaccines. There were problems with ppp and care homes to start with, but we hadn’t had a pandemic to deal with in our lifetime. You have to be realistic. I really believe Boris will go very quickly after we have this sorted. Can you imagine what Corbin would have done!

Cummings felt he was above the law during the pandemic, and now he has no role it was not going to take long before he started shouting and pointing to give himself some kind of profile. A figure in the public eye who suddenly becomes powerless invariably has their diary published, telling 'The Truth' (hahaha) as they see it about those who have caused their downfall. An MP's wife has recently printed her scurrilous memoirs and a few weeks ago an MP whose name escapes me also got his diary printed, insulting everyone he had previously worked with. What an attractive bunch - hell hath no fury ...

Sparkling I think Corbyn would have done very little, by the time he had arranged committee meetings and paperwork in triplicate and consulted the EU ( because we would still be in it, pending another divisive referendum) the time for buying vaccines would have come and gone.Much like the EU itself acted...slooooowly.

Apparently Cummings is preparing evidence to show that Johnson is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths during the second wave.

I think that Cummings has left things a bit late really, revenge may well be a dish that is best served cold, but not freezing!
The UK is on a mini ‘high’ just now and Johnson doing well in the polls.Unless Cummings has hard evidence of illegal doings then it could all be a nine day wonder.

Mm What would Corbyn have done? Well he might have reviewed pandemic preparation once it was clear there was a problem in China and ordered more PPE. He might have introduced a track and trace system using existing public health facilities and not paid billions for one that doesn't work. He might have made sure children were fed a hot meal a day without having to be kicked by a footballer. He might have introduce mask wearing earlier...... etc etc

Or.....he might not have done, who knows?

Corbyn might have cancelled HS2 and not given billions to his wealthy mates, he might not have spent a fortune on press rooms and wallpaper in his flat. Terrible

As you know I’m not Corbyns greatest fan but I’m pretty sure he would have done those things. And we would have had a health service fit for purpose to combat the pandemic.

I think Liz Truss is doing well, yes some of the deals are re-hashing similar ones which we had whilst a member of the EU.

Nevertheless she is working away getting on with her brief

She told us that the trade deals with Australia were really good but she couldn't defend them. What do we have to export to Australia - Scotch and cars. When asked about this she said only 10% of UK businesses export but we will encourage more of them to do so. But what? But the UK will benefit from cheaper wine and also meat, produced with lower welfare standards than the UK. Ah - we'll make better welfare standards part of the deal. She's as bad as the Tory MP who supports building a new royal yacht because it can show the world our whisky and jam. Both of which are good but hardly going to improve the economy.

Reading a little more carefully you might see that my comments were about those who fall from grace, and the inevitable 'tell all'. What I have noticed is that those who do not slate the government or start ranting about BJ's private life, are clearly all for him and must have a signed photo on their pillow. 'Wild assumptions - and as for Johnny Mercer, is he any different to the rest? He is following the pattern of behaviour that now seems to be the norm when you no longer hold power. That was my point - nothing else.

According to some Labour canvassers in Hartlepool, yes.
