Anyone watching this now? He really does talk the talk doesn’t he. Has just stated that no health worker has died due to lack of PPE. At least Sarah Owen is now giving him a good grilling.

Yes it will be a complete relief to his wife and children to see him with his hand on his lovers arse.

Sayid on the news now saying we have to return to normal ASAP. There you have it.

Is that for the economy or for our best?

hmm I wonder!

And the conspiracy theorists have said to me that covid doesn't actually exist and that the government is just pretending it does to control us and stop our freedoms. Crazy times!

MawBe Mon 28-Jun-21 08:22:51

Absolutely cringe-inducing interview on “Today” just now- waffle, fudge, obfuscation and feeble, feeble, feeble unconvincing replies by the Justice Secretary, Robert Buckland.
Nick Robinson was on form and all I am left wondering is what is still to come out about MH which perhaps “they” hope might now be swept under the carpet as MH has gone.
Bottom line is what does it take to be sacked from the Front Bench? Bullying, dodgy appointments, fiddling expenses, breaking the law while insisting everybody else has to abide by it, breaking the so-called Ministerial Code…….?
Oh yes, not supporting the PM, that gets you consigned too the outer darkness.

MawBe Mon 28-Jun-21 08:34:39

Apparently Gina Coladangelo took an active part in Matt Hancock’s image, telling him eg always to wear a white shirt for briefings etc I wonder if she was responsible for the pink ties too -ironic that this Co-op funeral ad featured large on the same page as a DT feature on the whole shabby affair! hmm

Bumping this up as it has disappeared off the bottom of Active already!
Is this censorship?

I thought that a while ago, but decided I was paranoid. But one does wonder.

“ Bottom line is what does it take to be sacked from the Front Bench? Bullying, dodgy appointments, fiddling expenses, breaking the law while insisting everybody else has to abide by it, breaking the so-called Ministerial Code…….?”

Well exactly. I think there was a thread called “a question” which asked this!

I don't think it's censorship, it's just indifference from govt. supporters and exhaustion for anti govt. posters who have been raging about corruption, rule breaking, ministerial code violation etc. etc. for months and months.

You're a wee bit late to the party, really.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 28-Jun-21 09:07:03

He’s continuing to earn £81k. Got £16k just for resigning and his poor wife is being subjected to the most appalling press intrusion, about which he appears to be silent.

Explain, please?

Sorry if I am going over old ground Lucca it was prompted as I said by the interview with Nick Robinson which I was listening to at the time.

Lucca Mon 28-Jun-21 09:10:15

Yes there was a thread about this which resulted in some odd comments along the lines of well Labour would have been worse, all politicians lie anyway, and…..the vaccine roll out !

Lucca Mon 28-Jun-21 09:11:11

Mawbe not a criticism at all !

MawBe Mon 28-Jun-21 09:11:59

And the “pink tie” post was also within minutes of reading that particular article - how much more punctual to the party do I have to be?
But hey, let’s dismiss her opinions shall we?

Lucca Mon 28-Jun-21 09:12:42

It needs saying again anyway !

Dominic Cummings and Matt Hancock should both have been sacked, not allowed to resign. Such arrogance and flagrant abuse of the rules. They have effectively stuck two fingers up at the British people abiding by the restrictions of lockdown. Disgusted by them both. Boris has met three wives through work, whilst married to someone else, so that’s his moral compass. I voted him in, I would now vote him out, he’s not up to the job, he can write his memoirs and live of those.

I thought my post was self explanatory.
People have been angry on this forum about the government's little peccadillos for months. You've popped in over the past few days and apparently joined the rather cross brigade. Which is welcome. But late...

Dropping off the active list isn't being censored, it's just indifference or exhaustion.

Lucca Mon 28-Jun-21 09:26:37

Maizie ….that’s a bit harsh and slightly rude to be honest.

Oh, FFS, I wasn't dismissing your opinion. It was a welcome opinion.
I was just considering why this post had dropped off the 'active' list.

Maizie ….that’s a bit harsh and slightly rude to be honest.

It wasn't meant to be either harsh or rude.

But if someone suddenly starts commenting after months of complete silence on a specific topic (i.e government wrongdoing) it's a bit of a surprise.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 28-Jun-21 09:36:04

Wasn’t aware there was a specific time limit on posting on political threads MaizieD , some folks have other things going on in their lives.

25Avalon Mon 28-Jun-21 09:39:48

There’s another thread on timings on active which aren’t in time order.

JaneJudge Mon 28-Jun-21 09:42:23

Personally, I think things drop off active because when threads get long they get quite overwhelming and I often forget what I've posted and whether it was on this thread or another. It may obviously just be me blush

Definitely not just you, it happens to me especially when threads are similar.

25Avalon Mon 28-Jun-21 09:44:40

Yes, but how does GN decide? Surely it has some criterion in which case we could be informed or is it just arbitrary?
