You are so right Jane. I find some of these comments so difficult to read showing as they do such a lack of understand about grooming and abuse and questioning the morals and intentions of victims of crime. None of us knows what went on with PA but if is suspected of involvement in the traffic of young people for prostitution then he should be questioned and so should his protection officers. If he is innocent he has nothing to fear.

I think its similar to lack of understanding of coercive control.

She has already sued and received settlements from Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

But she hasn’t sued any American who raped her.

PA won’t be sweating over it.

None of us properly know the facts of the case, but it certainly has an unsavoury whiff about it. I’m not sure that we’ll be much wiser after the hearing, but I hope that we will be. I don’t think Prince Andrew will leave the country to give evidence, or give us a proper account of his behaviour at that time. I seriously don’t know how Sarah Ferguson can stomach him.

I feel sorry for the Queen. At ninety five, whoever you are, you do not need or deserve this in your life. I wonder what the poor woman thinks about her own son’s alleged behaviour.

According to the Daily Mail online this morning, there have been lies on both sides and they have evidence of this.

If Virginia Roberts has lied, this will obviously affect the credibility of her case.

I am not victim-blaming but the evidence needs to be weighed up to get to the truth.

It is a civil case for compensation not a criminal court.

The thing I don’t understand is the rape allegation. She seemed to be willing albeit coerced by Epstein and didn’t seem to have been forced by PA (assuming he was there and IMO he was). Is underage sex rape? This case is so sleazy.

According to the BBC she has brought this case in New York under their child sex abuse laws which are not time limited.

Got it Petera people who are under age cannot give consent and it therefore becomes statuary rape.

Whatever it is all very sleazy and unsavoury and PA mixed in those circles. No getting away from that. Geoffre didn’t make much money out of it at the time and has said she will give any damages money she might be awarded to charity. Maxwell is awaiting trial, Epstein is dead so that leaves PA to be accounted for. If she is telling the truth maybe she just wants justice and some sort of settlement. We do not know the full story.

Alegrias Your comments are just inflammatory. I don't think anyone is saying those things. There's no denying she was groomed and trafficked. Avalon was querying the legalities.

And I stated further back that if she has lied to embellish her case, she won't have done herself any favours..... which would be the same in any complainant's case.
