who would you like to replace him - from either side?

Or is he the best of a bad bunch?

missdeke

Could we perhaps persuade Jacinda Ardern to come here?

She's not that popular with everyone in NZ so she might!

Nigel Farage seems to have his head screwed on
Backwards?

I really believe that the government should have formed a coalition to deal with covid. There is no place for party politics in a crisis.

I agree

Boris is the best of a bad bunch. There is no alternative. Labour are in turmoil and can’t do anything other than criticise the Tories. Where’s there policies? Why aren’t they dealing with anti Semitic issues within the party? We’re Labour voters normally but will vote Conservative until Labour overhaul their shambles. And that seems impossible for them to deal with currently.

I love your sense of humour, Gillycats

In a very weird place, certainly, as he always seems to be talking out of his bottom...

It's a pity that Bessie Braddock is no longer with us. She would knock a few heads together! A forthright and formidable woman with her roots in working-class Liverpool.

Elvis58 Mon 13-Dec-21 15:04:54

None of the present bunch.Would not waste my shoe leather voting at all!

sazz1 Mon 13-Dec-21 15:34:14

I'm with Boris he's being sabotaged by the press. Tbh I think many people broke lockdown rules last year from all political parties and the general public too. He's doing a very difficult job in very difficult times.
I'll bet if one of the other parties wins a general election the press will hound them too and uncover several rules being broken

Kali2 Mon 13-Dec-21 15:47:04

Sabotaged by the Press - really. For once, he is doing a brilliant job of it, all by himself, like the little red hen!!!!

Yes, some people broke the rules- but they were not the ones to have made them. A bit different no?

Keir Starmer offered, again and again. Even now, when he has a chance to use the opportunity to destroy Johnson- he is choosing to do the right thing, the honest thing, first, for the sake of the common good.

Stephania1954 Mon 13-Dec-21 15:50:34

I like Nadhim Zaharia he seemed to get on quietly with the vaccination programme. I would give him a go at PM. For Labour can’t stand Starmer agree with others about Andy Burnham a swift by-election could get him back as a MP
I like Boris and Matt Handcock they did a good job with the start of covid , Corbin would still be denying it existed

EllanVannin Mon 13-Dec-21 15:57:07

What about the "down to earth" Angela Rayner ?

They’ve been trying to dish the dirt on Keir for ages now and all they could come up with was his disabled mum’s donkey sanctuary. Do you honestly think they haven’t been trying to pin something on him?

spabbygirl Mon 13-Dec-21 16:22:00

Jess Phillips that'll be, ex Refuge worker

Urmstongran Mon 13-Dec-21 16:22:46

Actually I bet that on the sidelines Burnham is biding his time before challenging Starmer for Labour Party leadership...

spabbygirl Mon 13-Dec-21 16:24:49

The trouble is with Boris and all the tory party they want to cut public services including the NHS to replace it with a private healthcare like they have in America and it costs a fortune and gives lousy results cos they have shareholders they need to pay. The old, socialist NHS where we all got the same treatment according to need and paid according to earnings was best

Kali2 Mon 13-Dec-21 16:25:10

FAir enough.

Kali2 Mon 13-Dec-21 16:25:59

With Burnham wanting to challenge KS.

Donkeys? He has gone up in my estimation. And I bought packs if Christmas cards to save donkeys this year. It must be a heavenly sign?

Kali2 Mon 13-Dec-21 16:36:02

Sabotaged by the Press, really

so it is wrong, false, nonsense - or just pure FACTS.

EllanVannin Mon 13-Dec-21 16:53:09

I like Andy Birnham, Urms. How would you rate him as Labour leader ? Yes, he's definitely waiting in the wings.

Speak for yourself! We stuck to lockdown rules as did most people we know. I wonder why a Johnson supporter would assume people break the rules? Hmmm

Chocolatelovinggran Mon 13-Dec-21 17:32:07

Algegrias - I am sorry if my sense of humour offends you .
GreenGran78- I agree, but, sadly, we don't seem to breed politicians like Bessie Braddock these days, do we?
