paddyann54 has always made unpleasant spiteful comments about the RF including the Queen. Quite honestly they're best ignored.

Anniebach Fri 24-Dec-21 17:57:58

I think her comments are filled with hatred

Hetty58 Fri 24-Dec-21 18:02:44

I thought it was funny - and very apt!

I though paddyann54 was the best made me ?

Here is the queens ACTUAL #ChristmasMessage

“One is sitting down to Christmas with #PrinceAndrew & will be served taxpayer funded luxury from servants in a palace and one does not give one fuck about justice or even accountability.”

Totally unnecessary, totally predictable

Anniebach Sat 25-Dec-21 14:15:29

Totally revolting

Mummer Sat 25-Dec-21 14:19:37

????

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 25-Dec-21 14:20:00

I agree Annie. Some people can’t even give it a rest on Christmas Day.

nadateturbe Sat 25-Dec-21 14:36:39

Of course it's predictable. Paddyann is passionate about her beliefs. And she's entitled to voice them without being attacked. But really Paddyann could you choose your timing better?!

I'm sorry the queen has lost her husband. It must be very sad for her. Of course there are other rich people who could be criticised but they're not funded by the taxpayer.

I watched the service at Westminster last night. They were praying for those in need. I couldn't help wondering about the cost of the robes worn by the Dean, Archbishop etc and about how the RF present could pray and ignore how the wealth accumulated by their family could help. Strange kind of Christianity.
Anniebach no one hates individual members of the RF. It's the institution that Paddyann hates.

Anniebach Sat 25-Dec-21 14:41:59

Really ? She was kind about Harry, agreed with him

FarNorth Sat 25-Dec-21 14:44:44

And?

Sparklefizz Sat 25-Dec-21 15:14:54

I have just watched the Queen's speech. I thought she'd lost weight, her face is thinner.

I know that Rigby & Peller, the corsetieres, lost their By Royal Appointment because of gossiping about the Queen, but I have to say that she looked this afternoon as if she could do with a good bra.

Jaberwok Sat 25-Dec-21 15:24:36

Why the inappropriate comment she's 95 for goodness sake who on earth cares about her undergarments?

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 25-Dec-21 15:28:49

Yes I thought she looked very frail. I have to agree about needing a different bra. I suppose being generously endowed shows up more when your shoulders and arms grow thinner. I feel guilty about mentioning this at Christmas. Just an observation not a criticism.

Anniebach Sat 25-Dec-21 15:35:34

I didn’t notice , I was so moved by her speech

Soupy Sat 25-Dec-21 15:39:04

Very good speech; one of the better ones but we both commented on the poorly fitting dress. Looked as though it needed pulling down plus a better bra.

Sweetpeasue Sat 25-Dec-21 15:49:31

I too was moved by the Queen's speech today and for the first time. She did look frailer and thinner of face. In a way I can't pinpoint, she looked less'regal' and more vulnerable. Her references to losing a husband are universal and have nothing to do with wealth.
Peace and goodwill to all men.

nadateturbe Sat 25-Dec-21 15:50:19

Jaberwok people are allowed to comment. Yes I thought she looked very thin and frail actually But she has lost her husband whom she loved dearly all those years so it's understandable. I did wonder at her being allowed to apoear in something that looked cheap and ill fitting. Perhaps she was stubborn about wearing what she wanted. Lol.

To be honest I thought the speech was just ok..

Sparklefizz Sat 25-Dec-21 16:10:24

I missed the first 10 minutes so must watch the speech again as people have said it was so good.

As nadateturbe says, her dress was ill-fitting and I wonder why no one pointed that out/pulled it down/pinned it or whatever.

Ailidh Sat 25-Dec-21 16:23:48

I found the speech very moving.

I noticed the Queen's slimmer face, and thought it suited her.

I also noticed that a better fitting bra would have been good.

I noticed not because I am anti-monarchist or anti the Queen personally but because the older I get, the more I am aware of things hanging low on me that definitely look better canted up a trifle higher.

nadateturbe Sat 25-Dec-21 16:35:41

Maybe I'll go listen again....

Mollygo Sat 25-Dec-21 16:54:41

Thank heavens! For one minute I thought one poster had missed her chance.
It made me laugh. I wouldn’t want to give a speech when I’d lost someone. I couldn’t hold it together when I had to speak at my dad’s funeral.

25Avalon Sat 25-Dec-21 17:08:47

Hey do you reckon the Queen might be a Grans netter? Better watch what we say or how we say it. I wonder what pseudonym she us is?

25Avalon Sat 25-Dec-21 17:08:59

Uses not us is

Barmeyoldbat Sat 25-Dec-21 17:40:57

Just read through all the post and the negative (to put it nicely) comments to Paddyanne, totally unnecessary and I get fed up with the policing of comments by other GN. So you didn’t like her comments but disrespectful. No.
