I know Pete Wishart had an affair ...he left his wife because of it but with a record like the PM has ..one affair hardly seems worth mentioning .

In addition to the alleged harassment and failing to declare the Russian loan he's one of the MPs who voted against the bill to make landlords ensure rental properties are fit for habitation. Funnily enough he is a landlord who profits from letting property.

It's hard to see him as an innocent victim of a sting even if that is what senior Tories would have us believe via the medium of the Daily Mail.

I'm not a Tory but all this viciousness on social media is dreadful. Jeremy Corbyn, who was not the best leader, suffered so much abuse as well. All MPs are fodder. As are public figures and woe betide you if you say something even slightly to the right.

Lots of people have managed to be politicians without succumbing to the dreadful pressure of the Russians or social media forcing them to harrass women.

Lots of people in very normal public facing jobs have to behave properly and morally in public and socially. It really isn't that unusual

Lots of supermarkets for example, will sack employees who behave against their of conduct outside of work whilst wearing their uniform.

If he is well enough to contact friends to tell them he’s in hospital with ‘severe shock and stress’ as the press are reporting I can’t imagine he has been admitted to an NHS psychiatric unit. The admission threshold is very high, only the most serious cases are admitted to a bed.

you cannot even get phone counselling at the moment unless you are suicidal. You have to ring 111 instead to talk to someone!

What happened to innocent until proven guilty. Yes I think all parties should be named or preferably none of them until they are proved guilty or not. It is unfair and this has happened before (not saying this is the case now) that women have shouted rape, ruined a mans life because he has been named and then you find out she made it up. Would you like your son to be accused and named when he is innocent and his life ruined.

You didn’t answer me when I asked you if you would want your name in the press if you were raped, instead you have changed your tack completely to say that men should not be falsely accused. I never said they should, I said accusers’ names should not appear. I remain shocked at your original statement.
