In Scotland, there is free University education; whereas in England, students are saddled with debt for years. Why aren't English students protesting - why do they accept this as okay?

Open University courses are also subsidised by the Scottish Government .

Actually, we don't up here think that NS is an attention seeker. We might disagree with her policies and I do, despite being pro-independence, but I would never characterise her in that way. For those down south there is value in understanding Scottish politics as we seek to create a better nation. I am positively FOR a country of fairness, equality and well funded public services....much in the mould of Nordic countries.

South of England non Tory here. I find Liz Truss totally deluded and definitely not up to the job of PM. Sunak is not much better but at least he doesn't come across as quite as batshlt as Truss.

Let’s face it Nicola Sturgeon herself is no paragon of democracy, nor in any way an accomplished (or honest!) politician. As English ( the worst of all sins!), I’ll probably be lambasted for saying that! I do think it was silly and undiplomatic of Liz Truss to speak in that way; we should not sink to the levels that Scotland’s FM often has. Sometimes I would love there to be a referendum right away on Scottish independence ! In England! Then we really could really find out how many English people think it is fair, when we all pay the same taxes etc, more per head is spent on the average person in Scotland? Why free prescriptions, no tuition fees and various other benefits are more generous? And why, there being all manner of unaccounted, as well as just plain foolish, spending by the Scottish administration, Nicola is demanding 41m extra funding from Whitehall! Now I call THAT disrespectful!

So perhaps the Scots should complaining that the rest of the UK are wasting their taxes by charging.

I think you mean England Petera, not the rest of the UK. Only England charge for prescriptions.

I don’t think Amelegra has grasped the concept that devolved government means that other countries within the UK give their citizens a better deal on many aspects of daily life, how they spend what they get from the UK Government is up to them.

She's a joke. I've seen photos of her at meeings with heads of state and ministers from other countries and they seem to have their backs to her and to be just ignoring her. She certainly has no gravitas or substance.
I'm appalled at the thought of her as prime minister, far worse than Boris or May.

NS is doing her job, obviously that requires she courts a certain amount of attention. To imply she lacks a credibility because of this is obviously illogical and ridiculous- it’s actually moronic.
