Truss calls the threat from Russia as sabre rattling. Biden is warning of Armageddon. It's hardly weakness to be afraid of nuclear war. This woman is in charge of the UKs response. She has zero awareness.

I don't think it was stupidity. I think she knew very well what she was doing when she blamed the "anti-growth coalition". She's trying to turn people against "others". However, I think she's misread the mood of the population. Johnson might have got away with it - to be honest, he did get away with loads - but Truss doesn't have his charisma or cult following. She's refused to listen to the Treasury, the Bank of England, the OBR and the IMF. She's relied on information from zealots in the Tufton Street think tanks. I think they did have a plan, but it's backfired. They're going to have to rely on the Conservative Party not wanting another leadership race farce or the return of Johnson, but I have a feeling that won't last.

I agree that she seems to live in a bubble, unaware of the world or public around her, which isn't a great attribute for a politician.
