That's right Grandmabatty he had his first marriage annulled, he made his fourth wife Anne of Cleaves his adopted sister, his second and fifth wives were executed and his sixth wife outlived him.

I'm sure if any changes have to be made to the coronation service so it wont be invalid, they'll be done in time.

Spot on. There's a first for everything. This is the 21st century and new rules are springing up everywhere. I'm sure they will pass a new statute of Parliament in time to amend the coronation oath. Don't forget too, Charles may not have a living spouse but Camilla does.

However, Camilla will not be crowned, so perhaps that will be a technical point.

Edward VII was crowned. He was a notorious womaniser.

I agree it's a soap opera, which is unfortunate for those within it, but that's what it is.

But if you are divorced and then your spouse dies what does that make you? Surely you can't be classed as divorced.

What is your view then? Should he not be crowned King?

I remember Charles clearly saying a long time ago, that he could never be Head of the CofE Church- because as King of a very multicultural country, with so many religions and none, it would not be appropriate. I feel this is a much more important issue and I am sad that this is not been mentionned of late. The official links to the CofE in Government and the Legal/educationa,, etc, system- should be broken asap. If Heads of religious groups are to remain in the Lords, representatives of the other main faiths should be there too.

It makes perfect sense, don't you believe? A king is for all, not just CofE.
