I came across this article posted on MN.
It strikes me as very perceptive as Harry yet again drags up his mother’s death at the Invictus Games.
It’s so inappropriate and disrespectful to those thousands of injured servicemen and their relatives that an over-privileged, extremely wealthy individual constantly turns the subject to himself.

These people are not the country . I was quoting your earlier post.

People express their concern about his mental health, what's wrong with that?

Read the first page. There is no concern for mental health at all. Its the opposite.

Glorianny Fri 08-Sept-23 13:56:57

If the people posting on this thread are concerned with Harry's mental heath I understand totally why he felt the need to move to the US. Such "understanding" sets mental health issues back to Victorian standards.

WellsRose Ok so why do the daily run articles about him? Why is this thread been started about him? Why are Piers Morgan and Dan Wootton obsessed by her? Why does Camilla Tominey talk about them in her column?
.................................................

you are certainly obsessed with them as it appears you've
watched all you've mentioned.

Anniebach Fri 08-Sept-23 14:08:11

Who is Dan Wootten

Foxygloves Fri 08-Sept-23 14:20:23

So many why’s?
Why is this thread been started about him ?

But this is easy to answer and I cannot understand how you can still be oblivious of OP’s intention. (But there’s none so blind….)
Read the words. OP invites comments on an article to which she has linked, regarding Harry’s contribution to The Heart of Invictus series.
Have you watched it?
I’ve only seen the first 2 parts and was massively impressed by the courage and resilience of those wounded and disabled - whether paraplegics, tetraplegics, quadriplegics or the mentally scarred and their families who have faced enormous trauma.
Harry did himself no favours by saying “nobody helped him” - although he has elsewhere stated how his brother was indeed supportive and there for him, and by whingeing that nobody did anything for the returning serviceman and women.
Blatantly untrue- has he, (have you) , forgotten the charity Help for Heroes? Or the massive publicity in the media at the time?
His plaintive whingeing did not sit well with true heroism and he did them a grave injustice.
Sadly Harry (like Meghan about other “inventions” such as the “ wedding in the garden” ) showed that he does not let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Anniebach Fri 08-Sept-23 14:32:18

Not forgetting the car chase through New York

WellsRose Fri 08-Sept-23 14:48:13

I'm very interested yes
Is that a problem?

eazybee Fri 08-Sept-23 15:02:50

I just don't get why people would be interested in a journalists opinion on a royal they don't know, and will never know, or think that journalists have actually heard any of these so called conversations/arguments .

But it is all right for you to be very interested?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 08-Sept-23 15:06:49

🤣🤣🤣

Joseann Fri 08-Sept-23 16:17:34

Thanks WellsRose, I'm just waiting to board the ferry to France. (Nearly missed it last time due to traffic on a Friday afternoon, so DH has us here somewhat early!)
Anyway, I think Harry might have visited St. George's Chapel in Windsor to remember his Grandma today? Nice touch, also William in Wales and Charles in Scotland. Everyone busy.

I'm just curious as to why some people are so interested in people they don't know.

But, if it makes people happy, then go for it. 👍🍾

Meanwhile, I'm sure some people can pick the bones out of why Harry decided to visit St George's Chapel today.

Fill yer boots lol

Anniebach

So those who post on Harry threads, Katie Price threads, Cliff
Richard threads and other celebrity threads don’t know or care about what’s happening in this country ?

We can all multi-task 😁

I think he's a bloke with a New Zealand accent.

Don't ask me any more because I don't know.

Ha ha, already beaten you to it DiamondLily! I am actually very interested in St. George's Chapel because DH is a visiting chorister there, and I usually accompany him there. Sometimes things in the news catch your eye for a variety of reasons, some high-brow, some mundane, some important, some boring. We can all multi task. No reason to pick the bones.
Also, I'd rather not fill my boots, I might sink the ferry!

Anniebach Fri 08-Sept-23 16:33:52

Never heard of him ,perhaps WellRose will share her knowledge of him , does he write books ?

He is from NZ. He was on GB news, and wrote for the Daily Mail. He also has some strange and weird obsession with Meghan..

He has been suspended from both roles.

Dan Wootton is a journalist and currently a Presenter on GB news.
There are many pictures today of members of the royal family remembering the Queen's death, in Windsor, Scotland, Wales and elsewhere, and many tributes. I believe Harry visited Windsor Chapel this morning; I hope he did and it gave him some comfort.

Anniebach Fri 08-Sept-23 16:40:34

Well said, Foxygloves

It is blantantly untrue. Help for Heroes was set up for service personnel recovering from injury and trauma caused by their service in the Forces. People donated generously and Help for Heroes also donated funds to other, smaller charities. The Royal British Legion has taken over some of the work H for H used to carry out.
With all the publicity that charity received , we must not forget other charities, notably the Royal British Legion, begun in 1921, some of whose steadfast fund raisers and Poppy Appeal volunteers are now in their 80s and 90s! There are, of course, other longstanding charities dedicated to helping ex-service personnel such as SSAFA which was started in 1885. They continue to be there for help and support.

To disregard all these charities by saying there is no help available for ex-service personnel is very upsetting for all those dedicated and hardworking volunteers.

Does Harry not remember how people lined the streets of Wootton Bassett (now Royal Wootton Bassett) to receive home and honour those soldiers lost in battles?

No, I agree we can all multi task. What I object to is tame media burying proper news, that affects us all, under an avalanche of royal fluff/drivel and showbiz fluff/drivel.

I think, in a newspaper, news should take priority. I think media do orchestrate the news agenda.

That's all, but as I said, whatever keeps people happy. 🙂

Anniebach Fri 08-Sept-23 16:46:04

Why does he have such a need to lie

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 08-Sept-23 16:46:43

Suggesting anyone might wish to ‘fill their boots lol’ over H’s visit to his grandmother’s resting place on the anniversary of her death is rather distasteful,

Callistemon21 Fri 08-Sept-23 16:48:49

I'm just curious as to why some people are so interested in people they don't know

Some people are interested in pop stars or film stars, sports people etc.

Some people follow "influencers" on social media.

Yes, it's weird! It's human nature.

eazybee Fri 08-Sept-23 16:55:46

Life would be very dull if we were only interested in the people we did know.
