Am I being cynical or will this herald another opportunity for price rises, stockpiling, etc?

Oh well will just have to have hot water and mint from the garden if it comes to it . My father stockpiled a full large suitcase of sugar in the 60’s when there was a supposed to be a sugar shortage and it took years to use it up as no one took sugar ! Not really worth stock piling too much - maybe just a little ! I drink red bush tea anyway ! ☕️

I drink coffee so I'm ok but I get it! There seems to be a shortage of everything in UK these days from medicines to foodstuffs! 😒😢

I hadn't noticed shortages of anything else much.

Loads in Waitrose earlier.
My favourite, Yorkshire Gold on offer, 80 teabags.

Teabags going on eBay!!😂 I’ll worry when the coffee and chocolate run out…😳

Sainsbury’s refused to honour my ongoing delivery order, made over a week ago, for their tea brand. Didn’t even offer me a substitution which they would normally do. Not impressed with their attitude to a loyal customer. [shameful]

I will only panic when certain wines are scarce.

I drink lemon and ginger@MaizieD teabags that are really strong so always have them a second time. It used to make my carers laugh when they came and used to say is that your used teabag! So I understand

I have a full caddy and an unopened box in the pantry. Unless we get tea-drinking guests (or Urms pops over with the dunkers) they will last me for years. I shall call the bank tomorrow and arrange for the unopened box to be put in a safe until further notice. If it rises in value it can add to my pension.

Shelves in Waitrose yesterday were empty of tea - quite weird - wondered what was going on. Panic buying I guess.

It is ridiculous to state opinion as if it were fact.
