What is it that attracts racists, Islamaphobes, homophobes and general bigots to Nigel Farage?

I’ve pinched this question from James O’Brian. And to me it is obvious, - they are fascists - talking about replacing the police with paramilitaries and bringing back the death penalty as well as shoot f….g immigrants has huge echoes of 1930s Germany.

So why would you vote for him?

BlueBelle Fri 28-Jun-24 13:02:14

Because he is one Like attracts like

I'm horrified that Leslie Lilley has been allowed to remain as a Reform Candidate!

check out what he's said

Right wing - conservatives
Left wing - Labour
Middle - Lib Dem’s
Radical - greens
Off the wall - Reform and The Workers Party

I’m surprised that Farage gets so much tv/media coverage. He pointed out earlier, some of those exposed by the ch4 sting were recent volunteers, whose views he doesn’t share. He wondered if the volunteers supporting other parties might also have unacceptable views.

At last Sunak is going for Farage - being called a f….g paki by Farage’s campaigner - not before

Time😀

I'm not. He's the only politician making this election interesting to the media.

Tories are on their way out.

Labour is sitting back watching the tories dig holes for themselves.

A loud mouthed charlatan is much more interesting...

M0nica Fri 28-Jun-24 14:29:58

is this a question that needs to be asked? Farage comes over as a loud mouthed oaf, and like attracts like.

The difference between Farage and his followers is that he is a very astute and clever man and knows exactly what he is doing. how far he can go and how to monetise who he is. His followers are just stupid loud mouthed oafs.

Just hang on, aren't they now saying there are actors voicing these things to try and discredit Reform? In this day of fake news and AI we need to be very careful that things are what they seem. It would be easy to cause confusion.

When people say Farage speaks for the silent majority what they really mean is, he is validating what they think.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 28-Jun-24 14:35:06

If you believe that you’d believe anything - and you apparently do😀.

JudyBloom I’m not going to waste my time quoting your post because it’s so ridiculous. I don’t think you really believe the things in your post - it’s a wind up!

Believe what? I never said I believe anything, just that we need to be careful what we believe.

M0nica Fri 28-Jun-24 14:39:39

*WW2. I am referring to the Farage's male supporters, like the most recent oaf in the news. I would never describe a lady as an oaf. I always think Hyacinth Bucket would be a typical Reform supporter.Ladylike and yearning for a past that never existed.

MayBee70 Fri 28-Jun-24 14:40:26

So do you believe that Ch4 News was using fake actors? Or do you just not want to believe that it was real?

Are you suggesting that the news item is false then or are you merely deflecting, only it does seem a strange thing to say, given that even the Prime Minister is willing to believe snd comment on what Farage’s supporter called him.

I would say the biggest sign of insecurity is insulting people who disagree with you.

Hear hear👏👏

I was just reporting on what I read. Like most people I have no idea who to believe any more! Trust in politicians is at an all time low.

You (general you) have made the term far right meaningless, nobody even hears it anymore. WW has just included the death penalty as fascism, I am utterly opposed to the death penalty but is America now considered fascist?

This too

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 28-Jun-24 14:50:59

Maybe Nigel Fromage attracts racists, bigots etc., because they (the bigots and racists) see him as one of them. Moths drawn to a bright light.

Many gay people view stonewall as homophobic at the moment.

Again sense.

Sorry to quote you so much, Galaxy but this is a goady thread which I shall desist from engaging in.
Thank you for bothering, and being a voice of reason.😄

I find it truly shocking that some people have it in for Nigel Farage. He speaks for the silent majority in this country. He is not racist in any shape or form. He is the only one to tell the truth of what is really going on - the poisoning of our way of life, the indoctrination of our children, all the woke idealogy, killing our democracy and decency and he is the only one who has the guts to challenge it and put the British people first, whatever their creed or colour. It is an absolute disgrace that the establishment disparage him. He is not far right. People need to be educated. Well done Nigel !

So why does he attract so many bigots, racists etc?

No one seems to answer that question.

Probably, as I have said before, because not even the Tories are right wing any more. In my opinion.

A Party from the Right no longer exists in the UK,
