I haven’t read all this thread as been too busy to catch up today but just seen a worrying video on Sky News of a female reporter having to be taken off air whilst reporting from Birmingham. She was being threatened and intimidated by Muslim thugs wearing masks. One made a gun motion, another rode up on a bike wearing a mask shouting something about Palestine or Gaza and making certain gestures. Very scary indeed as what I’m concerned about looks as if it’s starting - one community of thugs against another. It’s the innocents getting caught up in it. The police wouldn’t be able to stop it. It’s truly terrifying.

This was a statement of 'facts', not an opinion at all. And yes, it did sound truly unhinged- as are so mamy things going around social media, stirring up hatred.

Reminds me of attacks at the time of Trump- highly orchestrated from far away.

Something truly scary and highly destructive is happening now.

Very low Sterling values are falling even farther down- and will seriously affect any possible recovery of the UK after all the destruction and massive debts caused by Tories, and in particular Truss and co. Making it even more difficult to repay debt, stop investors. Scuppering the country. VERY serious and troubling.

Anyone supporting this, condoning this or even 'excusing' it- are just traitors in my mind. I feel sick.

The BBC I player newsfeed announced that workers from minority background should work in 2's, not alone, because of threats to individual muslims.

Its an interesting read as arrests have not reached nearly 400 and some have approved in court - one identified by his tattoos as he had a mask on.

lots of attempts to ass-cover by saying "I'm not advocating attacking X but if I did go I would mask up, beware of provocateurs" - which still counts as incitement....

.. noticeable uptick in cross posting of US white supremacist stuff, outright Nazi Germany content - so basically the Trumpian right has noticed this and wants to be in the channels...

. plus Death/rape threats against prominent individuals and politicians...together a widely shared list of target premises...

So basically, radicalised young white men are being pulled into the mind-scape of outright fascism, while the main influencers and fascist groups disavow responsibility and try to protect their ability to operate legally...

Strategically they know this has massively backfired for the overall project - to create an alliance of elite and mob including Reform, NatCons, GB News and TalkTV celebs... who are all running a mile from the violence.

On the news this evening, people in Bristol trying to get to a wedding evening party were pushed back by police; a woman out for a meal sitting outside a hotel with her dog had to shelter underneath the table with rioters right by her, as she tried to undo her dog's lead. She was rescued by a passerby.

Yes, we would like to think this is the case, but at least one piece of footage that I saw was of a young woman, swinging arms with her daughter (about 8 to 10) walking along singing 'Pakis out'.

Theresa May, white British, christian tory Home Secretary refused to allow the use of water cannon in England and Wales. Her statement can be found in line by anyone who can be bothered to look.

The water cannon that Johnson had bought (without finding out if they were permissible or not) were, I understand, sold at a loss, possibly for scrap.

I'd be surprised if our current Home Secretary would be interested in using them.

It does. And it certainly sounds as though the perpetrator was a thug. But how is someone's religion detectable when he is on a bike and wearing a mask?

Just to complete the picture - Johnson bought them before their use had been licensed here in the UK - they've only ever been used in Northern Ireland.

And, in 2015, Theresa May banned their use.

Khan sold them to save maintenance costs for their remaining life span.

Possibly. Though injuries are rare - this was not the case for one man in Germany who'd been protesting the expansion of the main Stuttgart railway who was hit by one of the jets.

Dietrich Wagner - a 69-year-old retired engineer - was hit in the face at a protest in Stuttgart four years ago. His eyelids were torn and some of the bones around his eyes fractured, causing his eyeballs to fall out of their sockets.

Has has only 8% vision in one eye. As he was carried away he realised he couldn't see - he didn't realise that his eyeballs were hanging out of their sockets.
