What lowlifes the EDL are to disrupt a community united in grief. These people are just thugs. 39 police injured which means less police on the streets today.
Hate crimes should be dealt with severely.

The more I think about this incident, the more I think it doesn't have much to do with the identity of the murderer. The EDL attacked a mosque because they knew the police would turn up and they then had an opportunity to attack the police - all directed by Tommy Robinson from Spain.

Why is he in Spain and not in prison?
He's an anarchist and incites riots.

Because he skipped bail. He was due in court on Monday/Tuesday (not sure which) and decided not to turn up. It doesn't say much about the communications between the police and passport control.

I wish you were right Callistemon213, but I don’t these days. The influence of social media is so pervasive that even on Gransnet almost every day we see posts which aren’t based on fact about issues. It seems to be at its worst where there is a tragedy, people believe other peoples lies all the time, and pass them on.

Because it makes them feel good, superior and is a channel for their anger.

Reading all this thread just now has been very reassuring. So many sensible, grounded comments and support for the police and emergency services

The EDL are thugs. A poster early on this thread described them as thick as mince. They shout things like English till I die as they hurl wheelie bins, tear down garden walls so they can throw bricks at police officers and dogs. Disgusting people - I wonder about their IQ level

What the people do not seem to realise isthat Rwanda is a CHRISTIAN country. Over 90% of the population are christians of one flavour or another and only 2% are Muslim.

I understand that the attackers family came to Britian fleeing the Rwandan massacres, so they are unlikely to be Muslims.

It just shows how mindless and stupid these anti-Islamic protestors are. But there was deliberate misinformation being circulated on the internet saying the attacker was an arab boat immigrant, despite police saying from the start that the assailant was from Rwanda.

There are comments on here that fuel unrest and hatred. It is alarming.

And despite knowing that it was all a load of rubbish, people still go on about Muslims!

Much of my post is highly relevant to Southport, the massacre here up in Manchester. I read through it carefully before I posted to fact check and to ensure nothing was in it that could be deemed inflammatory as, I’m sure there will be readers of this thread who will report if they see fit. My comments are measured and valid.

I have not speculated. These commments were from neighbours and people in the community, reported in several newspapers.

Well, the one thing that we have been told is that the suspect is male.

EDL is the English Defence League. Thugs led by rabble rousers like Tommy Robinson. Very similar in attitude to the football supporters gangs which got so much publicity for their violence and mindless destructive tendencies in the 1980s.

They think they are great patriots defending the English way of life.

Bones and men are allowed greater freedoms under Islamic tradition.

Remember Angela Rayner discussing issues with the Muslim community a few weeks ago? She was the only female present.
