This is from the National.
In a speech in Munich, Vance argued that Europe was shifting away from democratic values and claimed the “basic liberties of religious Britons, in particular” are under threat, as he used the Scottish Government’s law as an example.
He should at least get his facts right.
I hope you are correct marydoll but I found the article you posted both biased and misleading.
Either letters have been sent to residents, informing them they can be fined up to £10,000 for anything that constitutes silent praying (what ever that means). Or they haven't
The article didn't give any information about these follow up letters, but added to the confusion, by stating the info in the letters was not in the bill. I haven't read it (the letter or the bill).
People have spoken of letters and have explained wjat tje bill means according to them, so I would take them at their word.
But that doesn't answer the question, did the gov. or any gov authority send these letters or not?
From the little evidence (not an actual letter printed in any np or on line) I gleaned I believe residents have been given a cheats charter to inform on their neighbours.
One step closer to curtailing free speach.
If that is the case JDV speach wasn't incorrect at all.
If anyone can find good quality info I would be glad to read it.
