Roll on Spring and optimism, goodbye to S.A.D.

Oh well spotted @MaizieD! Like you, I consider the “day” to be hours of daylight but a pedant would of course be correct in saying they are all 24 hours long. Well played @CabbageWars13 😁🤶

We got one more minute of light yesterday and I think one more today. Roll on the Spring 🌷🌼

October is the longest month, by 1 hour.

Frankly, I don't mind where OP chose to post this, just as long as I am allowed to disagree heartily with the sentiment.

I love the early dark evenings of winter, and detest the dreary wet months that we call spring.

detest the dreary wet months

Springs in recent years have been surprisingly dry in comparison to the last century.

2025
It was the warmest spring on record for all four UK nations.
It was also one of the driest springs in over 50 years nationally.
England experienced its driest spring since 1893.

After the extraordinary rainfall and floods of autumn, I'm looking forward to spring 🤞

Going to be the Tedious Utter Pedant here and point out that the daylight hours don't start getting longer till about January 5th (something to do with the earth's axis). But hey - love the Solstice! Happy Yule/Christmas everyone!

Well, they do but it is barely noticeable because it's only seconds at first, increasing to minutes per day.
We won't notice it at first because it is so brief.
