Oh dear I’ve just heard from ggumteenth and she has been banned..

What a shame!

Is it a temporary ban or permanent?

The political threads of late have become fewer and fewer and they risk losing more than they gain

I wonder why!!

Shame on me for being out walking the dog all morning. I missed all the deleted posts. I've skimmed through this thread and of course missed some things.

My experience of this forum is you have to work had to have something deleted and even harder to get banned.

The problem with such speedy deletions is that unless you are poised on the forum non stop you don’t know what was said. What is “troll hunting” please?

A shame about ggumpteenth as she/he was a frequent feisty contributor,( and in the interests of fairness so are your Lemongrove. )

My only comment is that I have noticed that I have to watch what I say or I get the nastygram. I’m now just trying to be bland which is a shame.

Why stop ? Say what you think!
If all the threads become bland and sweet I think I would lose interest very quickly.

Yes at leat two posters have received a temporary ban I think one went on to be banned altogether either that or they decided they had had enough after being back for a while.

I don't think GNHQ have exactly covered themselves in glory over this episode.

I had a spat with GG13 last night but didn't report it though the poster had hinted that I'd be reported because I told her/him to go ahead and report me.

Whitewave....am curious, when you admit that you haven’t read the deleted posts, how can you defend the poster and also why do you keep dissing GNHQ over this? They have started this thread to make posters more aware of what they say, then one poster makes a sustained personal attack upon another, yet you think that HQ is in the wrong?
It’s entirely in the right.

Thinking about it she was very feisty.

Some people can’t deal with challenge I guess.

Your view lemon which I’m quite willing to accept but in the interests of balance, and I know you are keen on balance I would like to hear from the banned person (temporary or not).

Of course you would say they are right as will they but that doesn’t mean they necessarily are. No one is infallible.

I supposed we’re all curious to know what caused it. I didn’t read the initial posts before they were deleted so have no idea. GG’s final post I did see but I didn’t pick up on anything aimed at a particular member. I notice the deletion said it was due to ‘troll hunting’ and I haven’t got a clue what that is.

Because when they returned after a brief absence they let it be known they had been on a temporary ban
