Silverbridge I think EP secretly enjoys winding GNetters up with long tedious posts with threads about threads and an endless stream of links on "whatever"and then pretends to get all huffy because as you so rightly say, we get exasperated.

I am simply pointing out that when you thought I had lost interest that that is not correct and I that I am simply waiting for the discussion to start on the day chosen by the person leading the discussion.

To be honest, I haven’t even read the book yet, as I intended to do.

I did not go looking for links. I was looking at threads that I am on and I noticed them. You questioned my integrity. I have defended myself. I was criticised for posting links to YouTube by someone who had previously thanked me for posting links to YouTube.

I do not know why you think I am exasperating people. I started a thread, people including me have posted.

Can you explain please exactly what you think has exasperated people please rather expecting me to work out what is supposedly wrong? It would help me as I do not want to annoy anyone.

I agree Chewbacca no need for posters to get involved with threads they find exasperating.
Concerns over Covid have made some people anxious and look for support in different ways.

I agree too I think EP is getting a hard time and doesn’t understand what he’s done to deserve it
EP you are you, and have every right to post as you see fit sometimes threads go on for pages sometimes they die a death (most of mine fizzle out so I m obviously not that interesting) ?

Same here BlueBelle lost count of the number of threads where my post has been the death knell.

I wondered if the thread had hit the Gransnet Daily jackpot, and upon looking at my emails, I found it had.

Today I happened to look at my emails before looking at Gransnet and I noticed that a thread that I had started had hit the jackpot. When I looked at the thread in Gransnet there were lots of extra posts in the thread, all from today.

Now this sounds more exciting - a jackpot!

How much is the jackpot, is it like the Lottery, do you get a cash prize? How many threads can I start and will anyone be interested?

What’s concerning me is that you almost always use the threads you start (and have even started some specifically) to promote links to a certain socal media platform owned by a US tech company. Is this why you keep drawing attention to yourself? Maybe your jackpot is a nice line in sponsorship? It’s tantamount to spamming.
