I popped out to give the dog a quick walk and when I returned it was gone.

And there you have it. No wonder threads get deleted.

The person who reported it could have a deep need to control

FannyCornforth Fri 12-Nov-21 13:51:44

He who smelt it, dealt it…

FannyCornforth Fri 12-Nov-21 13:53:25

He who denied, supplied…

But perhaps not control but for self pleasure

Alegrias1 Fri 12-Nov-21 13:56:54

self pleasure shock

^self pleasure^ shock

What, on a public site? Dearie me, standards have gone right down.

Now that is a side of GN that has passed me by.

Alegrias1 sorry, I think you are confused - it wasn't me who made the comment about Mary Whitehouse (your post 10.36am), it was merlotgran!

Alegrias1 Fri 12-Nov-21 14:15:45

Yes, you're right curlywurly, my apologies.

Meghan Markle did not commit perjury, apparently, because she did not give spoken evidence in court. The recent revelations, supported by evidence, will however weaken her claim for invasion of privacy, particularly with regard to the assisted (because she expected it would be made public), writing of the letter to Thomas Markle.

Zoejory

Who wants to see a kangaroo with his teddy bear?

So lovely, Zoejory, thank you for sharing that.

The problem with getting a conviction for perjury is proving someone wilfully lied under oath, knowing what they said was untrue or not believing it to be true.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 12-Nov-21 14:44:40

Pressed too soon. I would expect M’s statement to have been made under oath but proving the other elements could be impossible. Unfortunately. She seems worryingly forgetful.

lemongrove Fri 12-Nov-21 15:53:06

Yes she does GSM ( hope that’s an acceptable abbreviation of your name)?and one wonders how many other things she has conveniently forgotten.
Reminds me of Nichola Sturgeon developing a poor memory when pressed.?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 12-Nov-21 16:00:00

Yes very acceptable thank you! This forgetfulness seems to be contagious doesn’t it??

eazybee Fri 12-Nov-21 16:17:43

But oh so fortunately other people have kept the emails and memos she sent. Phew!

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 12-Nov-21 17:14:13

They just knew they’d come in handy one day!?
