Anyone got any ideas why eye brows just disappear, one of mine has almost completely gone!

Thank you Teetiome and janea. I will peruse the makeup bars when I am out and about again.

I hardly have any eyebrows left at all.
Not even enough to pencil in, sadly.

I have tried various pencils, powders etc, but it just doesn’t look right.

The ones I suggested have a brow powder rather than a pencil so a much softer look. You could get the lady on the make up counter to do one for you as a try out.

Thanks for that suedonimgrin

The Dad’s rant about eyebrows on Youtube is SO funny!

PECS - interesting point re the steroid inhalers, have noticed my eyebrows disappearing over the last months and realise now this ties in with steroid inhaler use. May be something I don't just have to put down to 'maturing".

Bridgeit Are you referring to 'slugs 'which seem to be popular these days. I liken my sparse to the point of /non existent brows to the aggressive plucking they received in my younger! days, when 'slugs' were yet to appear, and my attempt to look, (no chance), like the models in fashion magazines.

The Avon shimmer stick ? sounds the one for me. I don't want to end up looking like George Roby.

It's fab, isn't it, Janeainsworth? I've watched it numerous times, it's so funny! grin

Do you know who the Dad is sue?

SueDonim Thu 10-Jan-19 14:10:34

He's a Glaswegian comedian, Garry Meikle. I hadn't heard of him before but apparently he's well-kent in the Glasgow area.

Ah thanks sue ?

I never plucked but had sparse eyebrows. Got fed up with looking permanently surprised or having to draw them in. Fine until you get hot or wet & useless on beach do I had them microbladed this year. A bit like tattooing but with a tiny knife that injects colour
as it goes in. Not painful.
Absolutely delighted with result. They look fantastic & I don't need to do anything to them. Should last 3-4 years.

Menopause did mine. Thinner head hair, arm and leg hair. I haven't lost much eyebrow, but mine are getting more white with my dark brown. I use only eye shadow, lipstick and mascara. After I enhance my lashes I use a light swipe of mascara on the whites. That takes years off my looks. I do still have to pluck a few strays both brown and white.

Going from Eyebrows to "Eyelashes" Ive only recently started using a bit and I mean a bit of make up (age63) hmm

Bought a new wax type crayon eyeliner and struggled all morning with one eyelid...(look like ive done 10 rounds in boxing ring now ive wiped it off so many times)

Just had a good look in magnified mirror and I think my eyelashes had gone/dissapeared !! ive never had lush eyebrows or eyelashes and im very fair skinned /hair etc never been a hairy person.

I know hair dissapears on our bodies as we age but I cant see any eye lash at all on one eye there's a few on the other ! any ideas ?

Off out now will check back later. to all you wise Gnetters
Im sure its been discussed before but cant find the thread.
