Megan’s choice of outfit at the Endeavour awards, what was the stylist thinking? Is it a dress? Is it a shirt tucked in wrong?I have been liking her styling lately but someone missed the mark tonight!

The outfit was appropriate for the occasion and not too revealing but if she hoped people would focus on the event, she failed.
I’m so glad I don’t warrant that level of attention and criticism, but I don’t expect she reads Gransnet, Mumsnet or even the Daily Mail.

I don't like how she dresses - I think she often looks like she's headed to a funeral via the 'Classic' section of M&S - but frankly it's bugger all to do with me. So you do you, HRH Meghan.

It looks ok to me.

Baloothefitz Fri 08-Feb-19 11:53:46

Personally I think she looked fabulous.

123coco, The OP is entitled to comment on an outfit worn by a member of the royal family attending an event which is reported in the public domain. This was not a private function.

Her clothes costs thousands. The fashion industry is important to our economy. Whether or not we like what she chooses to wear we have every right to comment.

These are not personal attacks - unlike yours to the OP

Gonegirl Fri 08-Feb-19 11:58:04

Re her shoes. I read somewhere on the ever-truthful internet that all the young royals wear shoes a bit too big for them as it's supposed to be more comfortable for their feet when they have to stand for a long time. Wouldn't work for me.

Gonegirl Fri 08-Feb-19 11:59:05

I think the outfit would have looked good in real life. I liked it.

annsixty Fri 08-Feb-19 12:11:42

Well OP I'm with you, I thought it was awful and I reserve the right to state my opinion.
You are all welcome to comment on my appearance any time you like.

jura2 Fri 08-Feb-19 12:27:51

123coco - thanks - just what I was about to write.

I havnt seen any pictures of Meghan since the marriage but watch the news, listen to the radio and read a paper yet all this stuff about her has passed me by.
I am no royalist but do feel a bit sorry for her.
Not long ago she was seen as a breath of fresh air, now it seems she can do little right. Give the woman a break. They can’t answer back and it matters not a jot in the scheme of things.

I actually have said quite a few positive things about Meghan nannylovesshopping. . Didn’t know my comments so closely monitored, obviously not that closely as I often say nice things about people. Sorry to disappoint. Seems rather strange to say that when I had commented on others negative posts. Still attacking others when you don’t like what they say is fairly p.a.

Nannylovesshopping Fri 08-Feb-19 13:18:54

crystaltips ye gods the not saying anything nice was to mabonl not you, so many people got out of bed the wrong side this am! You all need to wind your necks in?

Hollycat Fri 08-Feb-19 13:25:51

And that was Givenchy! Must have cost a lot to look that bad, fancy putting a heavily pregnant woman in a skirt with the blouse tucked in skirt. There used to be really nice maternity wear back in the day - what happened?

Mapleleaf Fri 08-Feb-19 13:33:50

There was some pretty awful stuff, too!

GrannyGravy13 Fri 08-Feb-19 13:33:59

Just looked up the photos, I thought she looked stunning for a heavily pregnant lady.

Good grief - what is all the fuss about? The both look full of life, happy and glowing. I bet the outfit was comfortable too.

Greytin94 Fri 08-Feb-19 14:00:16

I think she looks great in her outfit at this event.
I feel sorry for her that she’s judged on everything she wears. I wouldn’t want to be subjected to public criticism every time I get dressed.

Beammeupscottie Fri 08-Feb-19 14:03:53

I remember some god-awful maternity pinafore dress I wore except for one occasion at a big event when I word a black and white outfit like MM. Women look much nicer now than they did in the last century; the plan is not to hide but to celebrate pregnancy.

Riverwalk Fri 08-Feb-19 14:13:22

Not her best outfit IMO, but she did look radiant!

Nice to see her looking a bit fat of face, like the rest of us likely did grin

Meta Fri 08-Feb-19 14:46:35

Her choice. I think she loooks fine. How awful to be criticised when so heavily pregnant - no one feels particularly glamorous then I’m sure.

Riggie Fri 08-Feb-19 14:48:03

Looks a mess. I assume it's separates as the blouse seems to be coming out and the sleeves just pushed up anyhow!! Just goes to show that money doesnt buy good taste!!

FlexibleFriend Fri 08-Feb-19 14:53:36

I'm not a Meghan watcher so had to check it out and she looks like a pregnant woman in a skirt and blouse to me. It's hard to ware waisted items when your waist has disappeared.
She looked good.

loopyloo Fri 08-Feb-19 14:54:31

It looked like a school blouse from Tesco with a black skirt. Dreadful.

MissAdventure Fri 08-Feb-19 14:56:31

It does look like a strange choice, but she looks absolutely glowing.

Tangerine Fri 08-Feb-19 15:03:15

People don't seem to wear traditional maternity wear these days, do they?

I think Meghan usually looks great. She can't be perfect 100% of the time. Who is?
