Megan’s choice of outfit at the Endeavour awards, what was the stylist thinking? Is it a dress? Is it a shirt tucked in wrong?I have been liking her styling lately but someone missed the mark tonight!

I thought she looked awful. As do I, on many an occasion. I’m sure. ?
But she has stylists that are paid a lot of money and clothes that cost a lot of money.
Some things she wears I like. But on this occasion, i didn’t like it.

Fair enough - but why make such a fuss about it?!?

Magsymoo Fri 08-Feb-19 15:30:24

Ooo and did you see what Harry was wearing! That colour just doesn't suit his hair colour. And his shoes.... so uncomfortable looking, fancy having to stand around in those all day! But for a father-to-be he scrubs up quite well and, do you know, I don't think he stroked his bump once!

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 08-Feb-19 15:49:46

I must admit I thought her outfit was stylish and a great choice for a tall and slim business woman but Meghan can afford to wear something a bit more frivolous.
It must be gutting though to not be able to leave the house without your choice of clothing being pulled apart by critics.

Nonnatimesfour Fri 08-Feb-19 16:43:06

I must be old-fashioned, I would rather see 'bumps' less defined, it is much more of an elegant look rather than the trend of 'tight' fitting clothes accentuating the shape, but that's just my humble opinion.

NotTooOld Fri 08-Feb-19 16:48:53

Much better to celebrate the bump than to hide it. I didn't like the outfit much but it's her choice. I don't suppose she'd be keen on the elderly hoody I'm wearing today! (MM still reminds me very much of Wallis Simpson.)

HurdyGurdy Fri 08-Feb-19 16:50:46

Who cares if we don't like her outfit, or think the stylist's taken leave of her senses, or if Meghan isn't dressing in a way that we think is suitable?

It's none of our business. Her presence at an engagement is what's important, not what she's wrapped up in.

I've not seen the outfit, nor will I bother going and looking for it.

I'm quite sure that MY style would draw some equally unkind comments, so I stick with what my mum told me - if you've nothing good to say, say nothing.

I love how we all become top stylists when we see celebs out and about! I hope none of us ever leave ho.e looking anything but perfect!??????

Looked fine and far better than most ‘maternity wear’ and ..... fabulous shoes, wish I could still manage heels! ?

Tillybelle Fri 08-Feb-19 17:05:50

crystaltipps. Brilliant! I haven't even seen her pics actually. Too boring.

merlotgran Fri 08-Feb-19 17:12:51

The comment, It's none of our business' always has me scratching my head. hmm

Orelse Fri 08-Feb-19 18:00:42

Poor Megan she seems to be pilloried no matter what she does... the press is stirring up the whole time ! Everyone should let her be !

GabriellaG54 Fri 08-Feb-19 18:27:54

I thought she looked ok but definitely not the outfit for an awards ceremony.
The open necked shirt with rolled up sleeves was totally inappropriate but hey...better than some awards outfits we see.

Luckygirl Fri 08-Feb-19 18:28:08

It looks fine - there is a fashion now for accentuating the bump rather than hiding in a tent. Good for her!

GabriellaG54 Fri 08-Feb-19 18:41:58

I think Meghan chooses her own outfits. I very much doubt whether a stylist has the last word.

Ngaio1 Fri 08-Feb-19 19:34:38

I think she looked horrible but I am not a fan of a "tight" look for pregnant women. Showing off the swollen stomach to the other parent makes sense but I am a little tired of the current trend to show every last bit to all and sundry.

Iam64 Fri 08-Feb-19 20:03:44

Oh my, here we go again a three page thread, largely full of comments criticising the dress sense of a young pregnant woman.
She looked fine.
Ngaiol - your comment tops the lot for me. All the young pregnant women I know where tight fitting clothes and look absolutely fine. I wore a huge tent of a frock during my first pregnancy in the 70's - looked so much less flattering than anything the young women wear now

Anniebach Fri 08-Feb-19 20:12:02

I don’t think the navel sticking through a dress is flattering

GreenGran78 Fri 08-Feb-19 21:07:54

I ‘m just glad that I don’t have dozens of photographers pointing their cameras at me every time I show my face anywhere. There wouldn’t be enough room on Granset for all the disparaging comments that would be generated.
It’s bad enough that the media are always ‘having a go’ at her, and implying that she, Catherine and the Queen are at daggers drawn with each other. I just wish that everyone would find something better to do with their time.
Next time I see a post mentioning celebrities I will refrain from reading it.

Lily65 Fri 08-Feb-19 21:51:50

Agree Annie and.......

Pease in what way or ways is Meghan like Wallis Simpson?

Lily65 Fri 08-Feb-19 21:54:04

not peas, please

Anniebach Fri 08-Feb-19 22:08:25

But has been said Wallis was a mother substitute for Edward and she controlled him , he was so smitten

RosieLeah Sat 09-Feb-19 06:56:20

At least she isn't wearing tight leggings and a t-shirt, as so many pregnant women do.

LullyDully Sat 09-Feb-19 08:47:45

I have just looked the outfit up. Rather smart black skirt and white blouse. Why do people worry what the poor woman wears for goodness sake? She must be so fed up with the carping of the media.

petra Sat 09-Feb-19 09:23:47

Megan couldn't hold a candle to Wallis Simpson.
Could you imagine WS going to a public event (or anywhere) with untidy rolled up sleeves on a white shirt?
No.
