On the GN Daily page there's a featured about thinning eyebrows and a link to forum discussions. This link took me to a defunct thread and suggested starting a new one, so here goes!

Of the many remedies for thinning eyebrows, one was growth serums. I've used these (Rapidbrow) and they really work but as soon as you stop using them the new hair disappears and you're back to square one! (Same applies to eyelash serums and, probably, scalp treatments for hair loss.) They are not cheap so it's worth knowing.

I'd love to have microblading but it's so expensive.

GagaJo I had my eyebrows microbladed three years ago and they're still looking good.
The beautician said they'd last 12-18 months so I've certainly had my money's worth.
She didn't use any anaesthetic so it was quite painful, although the noise was worse. I wore earplugs for the second appointment! She said because the anaesthetic numbs the skin you don't get good penetration of the dye, which made sense.
I was very careful to follow the aftercare instructions.
Yes it was expensive but it's been well worth it.

Dénis Healey here, I’m happy to tweezer straggly ones, how do I trim? Thank you.

When I had mircoblading done it cost £250. That includes a top up six weeks later. I won’t be buying clothes as I’m not going anywhere for a while. To me worth every penny.

Dénis Healey here

LOL. grin

I'm just the opposite. I've plucked mine since I was about 13.

I think however badly eyebrows have been plucked, they still look better than drawn, pencilled, inked, tattooed or microbladed brows - at least badly plucked brows are still natural, the others look so fake and ridiculous, like false lashes, just like silly dolls or cartoon faces.

Not if they're done well. Well done eyebrows look great.

twiglet77 my friend said she'd forgotten I'd actually had them done.

My daughter is a microblading specialist in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

For fair or pale eyebrows try Avon Glimmerstick eyebrow pencil. It's not really a pencil, more like a coloured wax. I use colour blonde. it retracts - No sharpening. It's about £5 on eBay.

I haven't really got any eyebrows and never have had.
I pencilled them once, and my family laughed and said I looked like a surprised egg.
I've never been quite sure what to do about them.

I'm actually in the process of doing this myself! Let me tell you what's worked for me.

One of the biggest helpers has been using a natural oil-based moisturizer as part of my daily regimen. I recommend something enhanced with vitamin E or coconut oil. These oils can also be purchased on their own for fairly cheap at a grocery store or pharmacy. If you plan on using just the straight oil (I use a moisturizer with the oils in it already just to make my life easier) then apply just a bit to your eyebrow area focusing on where you want your brows to grow. Do this overnight that way you don't go around with an oily face during the day!

Next, the biggest step is to resist plucking or touching your brows for a while. This might be hard (it is for me) but the only way they'll grow is if you let them! This is the most tedious part of the process, but have patience! One of the best ways to do this while maintaining a clean look is to fill them in lightly.
