Is it time to go grey?

Avitor1 on your recommendation I have tried the L’Oreal Age Perfect Beige Grey toner. I am very pleased with the result, the grey/yellow has all been blended into a lovely ashy grey/blonde and it feels in much better condition. Thank you for your recommendation!

I have never coloured mine

I'm so pleased LOreal has worked for you Whingingmom.I'm thinking of trying the Warm Gold next. It is so easy to do and mistakes will wash out if it's not quite right for me. I think warmer shades match my skin tones best.

If you are uncertain about grey hair making you look older, you can try it on first in the picture. There are free programs like Photodiva that allow you to change hair color in the picture, thus letting you see whether it will be good on you and playing with different shades. Ask a hairdresser, too, they usually have great eye for things like that. Maybe you'll like it in ash or platinum

I have used L'Oreal Age Perfect Warm Gold Toner today and I am delighted with the results.Having a warmer hair colour is definitely best for me.It is so easy to do at home,shampoo hair,put the colour on using hands wearing gloves in the pack,rinse off after 10 minutes and it's all done.It last for a few shampoos and there is enough in the pack for about 4 applications on my short hair.

Hi my mum is in her late 80s and still dyes her hair lol I’m 55 and a a lot of grey coming through. I’ve debate to let it all come through. Then my hairdresser rang me last week and asked what I wanted to book in for in few weeks time when reopening and I said I need my foils doing lol my excuse it’s my birthday day after. So I’d would say do what you want it’s your hair your body do what makes you happy after all you deserve it after the year we’ve all had.

I stopped colouring my hair a year ago and it’s coming through almost completely white from dying it dark brown. My hair and scalp are much healthier than when I was colouring it. I’m enjoying having grombre hair and won’t be having it cut short as I like my hair longer. It seems to be a real taboo to be openly grey/white but I quite like being able to still shock people at nearly 60!

My advice to anyone thinking of ditching the dye is don’t be scared of it. It’s just your natural hair colour.

Not for me, coloured mine last week with Nice n Easy, as usual, I’m not sure how grey I am underneath. I’m a wash and towel dry lazy person.

I have a long bob and am completely grey. Let it grow out a few years ago and have never regretted it. I did have almost black hair and gradually went lighter to almost blonde and the transition was relatively painless. I get so many compliments about my hair and it makes me feel younger. Would advise against short though, go for a soft chin-length bob.

I like the colour of my hair when it is grey but I do not like the texture, coarse and wiry. I use Loreal Stolkholm, stays white but makes my hair soft and silky.

Mine is mainly silver, but has followed the same pattern as my mother's did, so there is still some brown at the back. The texture has remained fine but during lockdown it has grown to collar length and is now a curly mop. If I'm out in the wind, it is completely out of control.

Well I did it! Still some blonde in the ends but they’ll be gone very soon. I love my bob, contrary to the naysayers everyone has told me it looks lovely. Mr. B took a photo before I got a chance to mess it up

I started going grey at 31 when DH went to the Falklands.
I've had highlights since but none since lockdown began.
I have a definite Mallen streak at the front and the rest is a nice grey shade.
