Face cream.

I have been using L’occitane Divine cream and I can tell the difference. It isn’t cheap but so worth it. I’ve been using the eye cream in this range for several years but decided in lockdown and saving pennies by staying home to treat myself to the face cream. . So glad I did.
Incidentally during the previous Christmas lockdown I cut back on using the eye one as I wasn’t going anywhere etc. It wasn’t until I looked at a photo of myself with DGS on Christmas Day I thought maybe I should go back to using it. I could really tell the difference with not using it,

If you want to try good face cream you can try lakme complexion care cream from LakmeIndia. It is good for dry skin.

I have recently started using Nivea Q10 as most of the other creams I have used over the years have brought me out in spots - at my age ! The heavy anti-ageing creams are the worst.

It is about £11 a pot but you can often get it discounted at Superdrug or some of the supermarkets.

You could also try the Simple range as it is supposed to be for sensitive skin and could help restore the balance of your skin.

I’ve been looking at different face creams recently as I’ve aged horribly over the past year. I’ve always looked after my skin, moisturised etc. Was a bit slack for a while with uv protection and the skin on my face has gone quite leathery. Face cream that I used to use seems to just sit on top of my skin and not penetrate it at all even though I use serum as well. I keep reading about hyalondric (sp) acid and also peptides so I’m going to try something a bit more heavy duty. I know it’s vain of me but I’ve always had nice skin: one of my few good features, and it’s quite upsetting. I’ve also found that, as I rarely wear make up these days, when I do put on the make up I usually would wear I look like a pantomime dame so that needs a rethink, too. I’m all saggy and freckly and age spotty and also seem to have post menopause acne.

I use Clinique Repairwear with SPF 30. I am very pleased with it and been using it for years. I always manage to find it on offer somewhere online.

I’ll check that out. I like Clinique. I need to buy some eye make up remover and they seem to be the only ones that make a cream one. Most are liquid and although they all say they’re suitable for sensitive skin that still make my eyes sore. I used to buy Simple eye make up remover cream but they now only do a liquid.

I find that unless I use a facial scrub every week or so no amount of creams can revive my skin I usually do it after washing my hair and then use a face mask
I can no longer use foundation as it is too heavy tend to prefer a tinted moisturiser
A good primer is also necessary to give an even finish
Most days no facial makeup at all but Clarins flash balm is amazing can bring life back and seems to even out the skin

I did try some Clarins stuff that was supposed to give a glow - you added a couple of drops to normal face cream, I used it once but it's sat in the cupboard ever since. The effect was more yellowy than rosy.

However, Grandmadinosaur your post reminded me that I had a small trial pot of the L'Occitane cream and it was lovely.

I use Clarins for sensitive skin. It seems to suit my skin.

Yes, I usually like Clarins too.

Liz Earle Superskin moisturiser works for me
Also if I am going anywhere, Tropic Facelift mask. This was first bought for me as a gift. It actually is the only mask I've ever used that works

I have a number of skin allergies. I use skin creams from a company called Pure Nuff Stuff www.purenuffstuff.co.uk/ .
It is only available online and is one of the very few of even the sensitive skin products that do not irritate my skin.

I've only ever used Nivea Creme since my teenage years. The blue pot one.
Apparently Joan Collins uses it. If it's good enough for Joan, it's good enough for me.
It's a pity I don't have her face though.

Sharon I think you will find Joan has had an awful lot of work done!

Another fan of Nivea Q10 here. I also use the gradual tanning one.

I like the l'Oreal Anti-Ageing Rosy Glow stuff, but mix it with a little plain white cream (any good one on offer) as I find it makes me a bit too rosy. I've dry skin so usually have a facial oil on the go as well (Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is a good one), but at the moment I'm trying out a Holland & Barrett brightening Vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic Acid instead. The reviews promise great things, but it's too early to tell yet.

I've had a mini pot of the l'Occitane Immortelle Divine cream from a M & S Advent Calendar. I thought it was fabulous, but it's beyond my skincare budget. I might start dropping big hints for my birthday.

My DD was practising doing makeovers on someone else's face. She bought CeraVe for me afterwards, as I had 'a chin like sandpaper'? Daughters, eh?
I don't have a chin like sandpaper any more.

aldi and lidl do some good ones.

I'm with welllbeck. Aldi's Caviare day cream is as good a moisturiser as I have found anywhere, at a fraction of the price. As a special buy recently they had an own-brand bb cream which I also bought. The pale variety is just right for me, but I suspect I'll never see it again! Good thing I bought two.

Le Roche Posay or as good and cheaper CeraVe , brilliant stuff!

I love clarins especially the flash balm but Aldi do an affordable alternative range.

The Tropic range i have seen transforming someones skin from dull to fresh and glowing.

I use Aveeno, I have very sensitive skin, it’s easily absorbed so my skin looks natural.
