Am I too old to show my cleavage?

For years I have been hoping that I'd lose enough weight to wear my favourite dress. I bought it originally for my 70th birthday. Now past 80, I tried it on today and it fits perfectly. However, it does have rather a low neckline. Though I say it myself, I still have a good, unwrinkled cleavage, but at my age, will I look odd if I wear it? Or should I just put the dress on Ebay and buy one more befitting my age?

Why do women want to show their cleavages? Female version of builders' bum.

NB This is not saying women can't wear what they like, just asking why would they want to dress in certain ways? I honestly don't get it.

surely you do know, because they are thought to be sexually alluring, in the west anyway.
in africa breasts are seen as something of interest to babies, not men.
i don't think the builder's cleavage has ever been regarded as alluring to anyone. more as sloppy, unaware, not properly dressed. so there is no comparison.
the idea of women being sexually alluring is linked to their power, over men, and more generally.
it is a highly complex cultural idiom.
ideas of status also come into it. having a good figure.

^I am sure there are plenty of elderly gentlemen, and I hope some younger ones too, who will appreciate a glimpse of your cleavage^

My son in law said to my daughter one day, “Your mum was looking a bit booby today “ ?

Nothing worse than a wrinkled cleavage and chest, however, if you say your's aren't then wear it. If it bother you you could add a fichu or attach a strip of lace across the front.

I think anno was asking about showing her cleavage rather than hiding it.

Do your own thing anno.

There is plenty worse than a crumbly cleavage.
Wear what you like, when you like.

I didn't mean to write crumbly, but it's quite apt.

I’d love to see a pic of the dress, wear what you want to wear, if it makes you feel good do it
