Am I too old to show my cleavage?

For years I have been hoping that I'd lose enough weight to wear my favourite dress. I bought it originally for my 70th birthday. Now past 80, I tried it on today and it fits perfectly. However, it does have rather a low neckline. Though I say it myself, I still have a good, unwrinkled cleavage, but at my age, will I look odd if I wear it? Or should I just put the dress on Ebay and buy one more befitting my age?

Wear it - if you've got it, flaunt it!

Could you wear a strappy vest top under it, which has a slightly higher neckline?

Excuse me? It’s your favourite dress, it fits perfectly, you have a good, unwrinkled cleavage and you’re thinking of not wearing it, putting it on EBay?
What kind of madness is this?
Wear it with pride, dear lady, and show them how it’s done!

I didn't realise there were cleavage police! As someone said, if you've got it, flaunt it.

But why?

Sorry - but I've never known anyone past 80 with a cleavage worth showing - so do, please, cover up!

Marydoll Sun 15-Aug-21 18:49:27

Buy a dress befitting your age? What would that be like then? If you love your dress and it makes you feel good, then wear it and have a lovely time.

Oh, I just thought the OP was a bit anxious about it? If it looks fine, then no problem. I certainly couldn’t carry it off grin

Perhaps Anno can. It's her cleavage, to do with what she wants!

anno is asking for opinions so no need for anyone to pick at anothers response is there.

Marydoll Sun 15-Aug-21 19:09:52

Anno, as a fellow Scot Anno, you may remember this saying; Dont be so pass remarkable! Ignore the rudeness!

Marydoll Sun 15-Aug-21 19:11:53

There are more pleasant ways of responding and offering an opinion. No need to be rude.

MiniMoon Sun 15-Aug-21 19:12:03

Wear it, and don't bother about what anyone else thinks. As long as it makes you feel good that's all that matters.
