Is “sexy” what you want to be in your mid-80’s?

I guess everyone’s idea of sexy is different but Prue Leith is about fun-I think-going by her colourful glasses necklaces and clothes, so perhaps she just went along with it for that reason ie fun. The person writing about it is like many other ‘fashion’ people…a bit off the wall…

IMO it’s the sexy or sexed up that is incorrect, unless your sexual fantasy is an older woman fastened into in black latex with read laces. In that case, go for it.
Who knows what designers’ preferences are?
A fun costume or outfit? Yes. Fun costumes can be as weird as you like and for anyone to wear.

Not at all against leather / leather look clothing for 80+ years old but this looks like a badly fitting bin bag- not at all sexy to me!!

I don't think I've ever seen anything on the catwalk that's struck me as sexy.
Ridiculous, mostly, if they've got bits on show.

I've never thought he was sexy, not in the slightest.
Skinny and unattractive (well, to me anyway).
In fact, none of the Rolling Stones were appealing.

On reflection, Pierce Brosnan at seventy looks more like me in my fifties. Of well, a man can dream...

Of course she won’t be wearing that sort of clothing on a regular basis.

She is obviously having a bit of fun .
And why not?

She's going to serve her new, sexed up self on a hostess trolley, on bake off, I'd imagine.

Sexed-up in modern parlance doesn’t mean sexy, it means “made better” in aesthetics

Ah, well, you see, to my mind, Mick has still got "it".

He is old and craggy, and skinny, but he is still sexy. (If you like that sort of thing)

Meatloaf was the other extreme, but he was quite a heartthrob at one point.

Did you see in the papers that Marian Faithful has moved into a care home. She is in the one a theatrical charity run and is full of well known people.

My one claim to fame is that I went to school with her. My sister and I, and Marianne were all new boarders in the summer term of 1955. She was a pretty little girl with short straight blond hair and had big blue eyes, which she already knew how to use for effect.

I didn't know about Marianne, M0nica.

She has certainly got some memories, I'll bet!

I will go and have a look online.
