I’m excited to discuss the latest styling and fashion trends! With each season bringing new looks, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what’s currently in vogue. What trends are you loving right now? Are there any jacket styles you think are overhyped?

I like to be comfortable and stylish. Currently looking for warm, mid length, long sleeved dresses for every day, to wear with thick tights and boots. Also, having difficulty in finding dark brown, straight jeans, and dark green. I am about 5’4” and size 8/10. I do try charity shops and also look on Vinted, but to no avail. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Out of curiosity, I looked at the rings mentioned above and I can honestly say I have never seen such peculiar and ugly rings in my life. I can’t imagine any of the classy G’netters wearing one!

Patsy70 I managed to get some chocolate jeans from an online "outlet". They had been wrongly sized - they check them before they sell them.

You do realise that "fashion" only became a thing when manufacturers realised it was a way of encouraging people to buy things they didn't need several times a year!
I recommend reading Patrick Grant's book "Less" The quantity of clothing that ends up in landfill due to Fashion is truly shocking and unsustainable.

Look for books under "History of Costume". It's a fascinating subject and shows that fashion really wasn't invented by manufacturers, although it could be argued that they enabled more people to be interested from the beginning of the 20th Century in this and other industrialised countries.
