I went to see it in the 70's with my boyfriend, now OH, and fell asleep in the cinema. He was disgusted that I didn't appreciate it. That should have told me something!
Worst recent film - Black Swan. Pretentious drivel.
Oh I can't pinpoint just one! All the above apart from one or two JB films which I enjoyed when they were out in the '60s. Everyone raved about "Warhorse" - can't understand why, every cliche imaginable. "Black Swan" - absolutely awful. What on earth was "Mama Mia" supposed to be for? Presumably killing some good Abba songs! I could ramble on, but it's nearly lunchtime . . .
'They Shoot Horses Don't They' - as I remember it involved couples marathon dancing, but as I fell asleep in the first 20 minutes and my then fiancee woke me up to plead 'can we go before I kill myself?' I'm not really sure what else it was about
I agree with Nightowl - Black Swan was a load of rubbish. The only film I can remember walking out of was The Royal Tenenbaums but there are a few others I hated but sat through.
I haven't seen The Royal Tenenbaums, but I did see the director's latest film, Moonrise Kingdom last week so I kinda get what you mean. All style and no substance.
