I agree.His best one was about Cuba where he very tactfully pointed out the flaws in the system without getting himself into trouble [not easy, that]. I found the bit about the captive crocodile very upsetting last night .

Yes I thought the item about the crocodile was upsetting. A very enjoyable programme. I have seen another documentary about the Ark of the Covenant being in Ethiopia but as no-one is allowed to see behind the screen it's hard to prove. Perhaps someone ought to tell them that is in a large wooden crate in a huge storage hangar somewhere in America, ask Indiana Jones

Another young presenter I like is Alastair Sooke. His programmes about art are really good.

We love Simon Reeve and we love his presentation style and interesting programmes. Looking forward to the Ganges next week.

For some reason we're still watching his series on the Tropic of Cancer, recorded, which is also excellent.

Loved it (and him) I had no idea that 80% of the Nile is in Etheopia. I think we all saw that there will be tears before bedtime with that dam.

There are two very good books by Alan Moorhead: The White Nile and The Blue Nile. They are about the search for the source of the Nile and a history of events such as the Battle of Omdurman. I used to have these volumes but think ex-H must have taken custody of them!

I could not believe the filth being pumped into the glorious Ganges on its way down to the Bay of Bengal. India should be ashamed of itself and not wasting money on space rockets. And shame on those western countries buying illegal hides and beef in vast quantities from a vegetarian country. I admire Simon for bringing this tradgedy to our attention.
