I wouldn't recognise a Radley bag if it jumped up and bit me! How the other half live...

It's getting a bit too complicated now, though. I'm finding it hard to care about any of them apart from Miller.

She is a policewoman, she wouldn't want to encourage a pickpocket soutra.

I love Broadchurch, no problems following it! Also Spiral.

Until I realised the window was open, I half thought the couple had raced upstairs.

I think we all knew the meeting Tennant set up between the husband and wife wasn't going to go to plan.

DH and I have to watch in silence. It's one of those programs you have to really concentrate on.

I had to keep using subtitles.

I wear my non-Radley bag the wrong way round, especially in a crowded place.

I found some of the dialogue difficult to hear too.

Some of the events (and characters) in this seem a bit contrived to me. Why pick Miller's old neighbourhood to hold the meeting between the husband and wife? It could have been quite easily foreseen that the dead child's mum would see her and would confront her. Wouldn't prosecuting counsel have been aware that the defendant had been beaten up and that this would probably make his statement inadmissible?

I do find it quite entertaining but also fairly unbelievable. I'm obviously in a minority because it gets rave reviews.

I have a bag that I carry the wrong way round because of the way the zip fastens. I suppose I could just swap it to my left!

Have you read the MN thread about unlikely things on TV? One of them was waters breaking with no other signs of labour - she'll have that baby in 10 minutes now!

My waters broke with D 3 before any other signs had happened. My other 2 DDs thought it was hilarious.

Broadchurch seems to be sinking under the weight of too many sub-plots, and a total lack of reality.
It's becoming like a bad dream, and I'm losing interest.
David Tennant is positively depressing. (Is that an oxymoron?)

We have a device for measuring whether we're engaged by a film, play, TV programme or other performance. It's when you start thinking about the things in the scene, for example, whether that nice sofa would fit in your sitting room. Or, I suppose, why the character is carrying her Radley bag wrong way round? So far, hardly noticed what anyone is wearing or any of the furniture in Spirals!

I think the meeting was held in Millar's house - that kept it under the radar so to speak.

I have a Radley across the body bag and have never been sure which is the right way round.

I have a Radley bag in the bottom of my wardrobe - forgot all about it until someone mentioned it. Handbags have never been my thing. But I agree with the above post; I got fed up last night and wandered off to do something else. Can't someone tidy David Tennant up? Can't thing that there's any reason for him to look so horrible!

A middle-range designer of handbags, much given to using little scottie dogs as a motif. Much loved by 30 to 40 year olds, in fact I have bought one for my DD's 30th birthday next week.

I must use mine more, but it doesn't hold the vast amount of junk that I carry around with me when I go out . My Fossil bag isn't as big but seems to hold more junk. I don't have many bags compared to a lot of people but the ones I have need to be very well made and strong to cope with all the rubbish that's in them....I wouldn't have taken Miller as a Radley bag person as I reckon she'd need as much junk as me and have half eaten packets of crisps and suchlike in her bag.

.....I'm seriously concerned about myself worrying about such trivial things; I feel I should get out more.....

It annoyed me that they kept on walking over the post in Olivia's house. Wouldn't she have picked it up? x

Was the window open when they went into the room or did they open it? I would have thought a policewoman would have locks on all of her windows ?? I suppose that, when we watching things like The Killing and The Bridge, we didn't notice such details as we were too busy reading the subtitles...

It did seem bizarre to me that they left in total silence and neither police officer noticed and blooming thing.

Which was why I thought they had gone upstairs, until I saw the billowing curtains. No, they were shut before. They must have gone out, stayed behind the front hedge and nipped around the back so I was infuriated when he raced out to the road!
